We had the good fortune of connecting with Trenesha Wilborn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trenesha, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
Deciding to get back into school. Working on my Esthetician license and Business Management degree has to be the biggest obstacle but most necessary. These two things helped prepare me for a range of career opportunities across numerous industries.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Shy Skin Essentials specializes in all-natural skin care products. We create products for women, men, and children. All our products are made from the finest ingredients. Each product is 100% natural and made to fit your skin needs. I’m excited to be graduating from Esthetician school and obtaining my license. Staying consistent and setting high expectations for myself is how I got to where I am. It wasn’t easy, but nothing worth having is easy. The biggest lesson has to be having patience and balancing everything I have going on. I want the world to know you can do anything you put your mind to. Faith without works is dead.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
It would be somewhere on the beach where it’s warm and always sunny. We would go to a luxury spa and get massages, facials, hot stone treatments, and body scrub treatments. We would drink infused fruit water and eat off a nice charcuterie board.
