Meet Trenese Johnson | Wellness Enthusiast

We had the good fortune of connecting with Trenese Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Trenese, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
I am a professional licensed clinical social worker and I have worked in this field for over 25 years Social work is soul work. Social work is heart work. It’s is not just what I do, it was what I was born to do. I’ve been an independent contractor for over 15 years and my work has taken me on some amazing journeys. I am certified in many areas; however, my work with my Mindfulness certification and Trauma certification has had me to become more curious with discovering new ways to provide support to those seeking my services. One of the most important lessons my career has taught me is to always be guided by the principles and guidelines of the profession but to also follow my gut. Something wonderful happened when I turned 50 in 2020. I embarked upon a wellness journey to explore alternative options for improving my wellness in the areas of finance, spirituality, health, occupational, environmental, social, emotional and intellectual. As a result, I started doing some work organic juicing, cleansing with Sage and Palo Santo, mindfulness and guided meditation with singing bowls. I am currently learning all I can about stone/crystal work and I have been having fun making beautiful, meaningful jewelry from them. This non-clinical approach allows me to reach so many people who are experiencing some of the same issues of concerns that my clients were. I am now a practicing wellness enthusiast and I enjoy the energy and synergy work it has allowed me to do. I feel that I am reaching more people who are ready to explore their wellness journey with me and I am enjoying every minute of it!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I would love the world to know that I have spent my entire professional career promoting wellness from the inside-out. Now, I’m embarking upon a new way to get it done!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give a special shout out to my mother who passed in 2009. When I was up all night on the phone talking to my friends in high school, she would always encourage me to go to sleep and stated “you can’t save the world”. I hope and pray that I am making her proud because she was right, I can’t save the world, but I can surely help as many people as I can, one person at a time.
I’d also like to give a shout out to The Honey Pot and Iwi Fresh Farm Oasis and Spa as they have provided spaces for me to allow my creative work to flourish and a place to rest my soul.
