We had the good fortune of connecting with Travis Pruitt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Travis, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
My end goal is to work for a sports team as a full time content creator for a team. Traveling and creating content for the team and players.

By the end of my career I want my company to be fully established. I wanna be able to give back and teach other kids the craft of photography and content creations.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art would be, my creativity with photography and videography. Telling stories with my photos and creating stylize videos for my clients.

What sets me apart from others is my drive and determination to be great at whatever I do. I take my craft serious and everyday I’m always striving to learn something new.

What Im most proud about is, knowing how far I came in life to get to where I’m at today with out a college degree. And being from a small time and making it out. And working in my career field as a camera operator for a few major sports teams in Georgia.

I got to were I’m at today but working hard and never giving up on my career path. Doing a lot of net working and putting myself out here and letting people know what it is I’m trying to do. I heard a lot of no coming up. And a lot of people told me I needed to go to college to do what I’m doing now.

If definitely wasn’t easy. I overcome the challenges again by not giving up and not taking a no for a answers when people shot me goals and dreams down.

Lessons I’m learning along the way, is to stay true to yourself. Dont follow the crowd and the trends thats on social media. Dont give up on your goals and dreams. Never be afraid to ask someone for help. We all need some help in some shape or form. And always do right by people, even if people don’t treat you right. Just treat people how you wanna be treated.

What I want the world to know about me

My career path started as a hobby back in 2008. Just taking photos of my friends and family. Never new I could get paid for it. It was just a fun hobby at the time. And in 2013 didn’t realized this would become a career path for me. Stuck with the Craft of photography and added video to my resume and the rest was history for me. Got to work with some majors companies along the way. Nike, Under Armor, National Geographic, University of Georgia, Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Braves to name a few companies.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Places I would take a friend visiting the town.

Food place: Busy Bee Cafe, Hattie Maries BBQ

Places: Downtown Atlanta, Athens GA for a Bull Dogs game, Chateau Elan, Foot Palace, Battery, Andrettis

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout my mother (Tanya Grier) and my Grandma (Dorothy Mcclellan) for raising me into the man that I am today and for being by my side through all the ups and downs of my life and my career.

Also would like to shoutout Shanice Haynes for buying me my first camera back in 2008. That was the start of my career even though I didn’t know this what I would be doing today full time.

And a big shoutout to my kids for keeping me motived every day
