We had the good fortune of connecting with Travis Love and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Travis, how do you think about risk?
Taking risk is everything without casting a net you can’t catch any fish everything in life is a risk. That’s why banishing all fear of failure and embrace the unknown is the only way. It’s easy to let our past control us but that’s is why it is important to take the risk, failing your way to success is better then not being successful at all.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Growing up I was always a creative individual participating in things like skateboarding team sports and musical instruments. I originally got into art as something to do for fun and it really interested me and my brothers were also creative as well so we enjoy doing art together. It wasn’t until elementary school when I knew that I had a talent for it but I did not know that it was going to be my career. It wasn’t until later in life that I decided that it was something I wanted to pursue full-time even though it wasn’t an easy decision it was something that I grew into. Being an artist /freelancer was never something that was encouraged by my mom or family I have very little support on the independent side and heavenly encouraged to be a corporate designer work in the office go to college kind of just like everybody else anything outside of that I would have to achieve all my own. So I’m grateful for the little help that I have had But to answer your question it’s not been an easy road it has been filled with ups and downs and Victories. I always knew I wanted to be a entrepreneur and it wasn’t until after I had experienced a layoff is when I decided to apply that with what I had learned in the corporate world creating brands and also pursuing art helped me to become who I am today. As far as overcoming challenges I still face many challenges today the difference is how I deal with them. I no longer dwell in the problem I try to only focus on the solution and not make it more than it has to be nothing last forever so I understand that it will eventually work itself out within time. Through this I’ve learned many lessons but the main lesson that I would say is to never quit and to not care about what anybody else thinks about you or what you’re doing as long as it is within reason and it’s for the greater good and makes you happy. If there was anything that i world like the world to know About me and my brand is that it was created to serve a positive message and to unify people of All walks of life and that I am someone who has dedicated his life to what he loves and only want the best for mankind.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If someone was visiting Atlanta where would I suggest them go or do first things first I would get them a plate of hot wings because Atlanta wings are bussing. Second we would probably go check out some of the inner city festivities such as the beltline some of the breweries and skate parks just enjoy being in the mix. Later on if it was night time I was suggest checking out some nice cocktail lounges maybe around mid town or Buckhead. And if they were into nature as I am I will suggest visiting some of the nature preserves that are inner and around the city and also Atlanta has great natural waterfalls and really coolTrails and wooded areas that have a really good vibe or maybe go to Six Flags.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thanks my friends and family for grooming me to be the person I am today. I wouldn’t also like to thank my haters for giving me a reason to prove them wrong lol, also starch creatives, chase Faulkner, Ms.G , ikonic, Chris gunderson, gallery 992, wish atl
