We had the good fortune of connecting with Travanti Lipson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Travanti, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Honestly I was burned out, making changes to other people’s menus. Perfecting dishes on their menu, making regulars on 3rd shift the most happy to get my food. So after coming home and talking it over with Lena, she gave it to me straight no chaser. If you’re so unhappy working for someone else, go in business for yourself. It was so powerful in that moment I’m not sure if she knew what had transpired in my mind at that moment. She lit the wick on some dynamite she thought was a candle.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Wow I feel like what sets us apart is the passion that we put into every order we produce. I was fortunate enough to realize that traditional culinary school while providing for a family wasn’t the only way I could acheive success. I apprenticed under Master Chef Robert Owens for 3 years, the wealth of knowledge poured into me within that time frame also the learning from real time situations were the best OJT any upcoming Chef could ask for. Also our brand is a remainder to take time and appreciate the times you have with those you love. Remember good food & great values are just, Around The Way!!!

Well of course I want to shoutout my better half, my business partner, my love, my divine feminine goddess; Mrs. Lena Lipson. She has had such an impact on my life words cannot describe how thankful I am for her, how much I love & appreciate her or what she means to me.
