Meet Tracey Thomas | CEO of Island Magic LLC

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tracey Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tracey, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
“I am from Jamaica, a place that holds the essence of natural beauty and resilience. My upbringing was profoundly influenced by the strong women in my life—my grandmother Rose, my aunt Faith, and my mother Angela —who together shaped the person I am today.
My grandmother played a particularly central role. Some of my fondest memories are of spending time with her in the garden, learning about the healing power of plants and the importance of nurturing the earth. Whether it was picking herbs to brew teas or learning how to use natural remedies for skin and hair care, those moments laid the foundation for my passion of creating products that honor those traditions.
Growing up surrounded by such strong, resourceful women instilled in me a sense of pride in my heritage, a deep respect for nature, and a commitment to creating authentic, natural products. Every soap, oil, or lotion I make is not just a product—it’s a celebration of the strength, wisdom, and traditions passed down
to me.”

What should our readers know about your business?
“My business is inspired by my Jamaican heritage and a passion for natural, high-quality ingredients. What sets my brand apart is the care, inclusivity, and experience behind every product. From nourishing soaps to rejuvenating skin treatments and calming aromatherapy oils, each item is handcrafted with love to meet the needs of all people, including those with sensitive skin.
Our products are more than self-care—they’re a journey. Each one transports you to the essence of island life, evoking the warmth, vibrancy, and natural beauty of Jamaica. My goal is to deliver quality and authenticity while celebrating culture, self-love, and the soothing rhythms of the islands.”

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When my bestfriends visit they always want to start by visiting my kitchen lol. My love for cooking sets a personal and cozy tone for their visit. Paula loves my Salmon dish stuffed with crab while Natalie has to have Peppered Shrimp and my green smoothies on deck.We may do road trips to South Florida, relaxing spa treatments at Avalon, and scenic drives to Chateau Elan, which adds adventure and wine tasting. Ending with tea and treats at Rose Valley Sweets in Johns Creek which is the perfect touch of elegance and indulgence.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give credit to the incredible people who have shaped and supported me throughout my journey. My mother and aunt, who helped raise me with strength, resilience, and love, have been my foundation. They taught me the importance of hard work, authenticity, and embracing my roots.
My best friends, Natalie and Paula, have been my unwavering cheerleaders, always standing by my side with encouragement and love. I’m also deeply grateful to my mentor Andrew, whose guidance has been invaluable in helping me grow both personally and professionally.
My son Xavier is my greatest inspiration and constant reminder of why I pursue my dreams—his love motivates me every single day. To my significant other, Dwight, thank you for being my rock, my partner, and for believing in my vision even when I doubted myself.
I also want to thank my friends and wider community for their continuous support, love, and encouragement. Each of you has played an essential role in my journey, and I carry your influence in everything I do.”
