Meet Tracey Chaykin | Master Colored Pencil Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tracey Chaykin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tracey, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My decision to pursue an art career stemmed from a personal journey of rediscovering creativity as a means of coping with life’s stresses. What began as an exploration into adult coloring books evolved into a passion for creating art that speaks to conservation and environmentalism. My thought process centered on connecting my art with a purpose—to spark conversations about nature, sustainability, and how small changes can lead to a positive impact on our planet. I saw an opportunity to blend my lifelong love for nature with artistic expression in a way that not only fulfilled me but could also inspire others.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Authenticity and purpose are at the heart of my success. I create art not just for the sake of creating but with a message that aligns with my values. People are drawn to work that is genuine and speaks to a deeper cause, and that’s what has made my art and brand resonate. Additionally, being open to learning and growth has allowed me to adapt and seize new opportunities, from exhibiting my work to creating wearable art.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’ve recently participated in filming my documentary with Arttour International for their Art Titans, Masters of the New Era documentary series. Since my artistic career is centered around environmentalism, I took advantage of where I live in Northern California and all the micro climates we have. I proceeded to take them on a Hot Air balloon ride over the Central Valley next door to Napa, we went wine tasting up valley at the Castillo di Amorosa, visited the riverfront, and took them to one of our favorite beaches. We shared some of our favorite restaurants like Eiko’s, a Japanese style restaurant. So many options but for hanging out, we just spent time in my backyard surrounded by my organic veggie garden.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wouldn’t be here without the support of my husband David and all of my family. As for my artistic career and where it has evolved to, my biggest shoutout would be to Viviana Puello, CEO of Arttour International, her husband Alan and the entire team at Arttour International. Viviana has been my biggest mentor, and continues to work with me to succeed!
