We had the good fortune of connecting with Tottywat and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tottywat, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think of risk as ways of pushing yourself to a level you wasn’t ready for. My entire career is based of me taking risk. I’m an independent artist who took the risk of leaving me 9 to 5 to pursue music. As well as took the risk to get a home. Knowing the risk factor I still took it & since then I wouldn’t change anything. Sometimes I wish I took more risk.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
With me I live & breath creativity. From my music being recorded in my own home to me sitting down mixing my own music, To being my own Boss/ Manager & handling all the business I need to. Those are just some of the highlights of my creative side in the music world. Me getting to where I am is all based off how creative I am & the risk I took with my creativity. It wasn’t always easy & definitely wasn’t something I seen as a way out but I always knew I was different in a way where most people just didn’t know how to do the things I do. Being myself is what made me who I am today & the reason why I will forever stay being myself..
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Right off the back I’m a vibes type of person so spontaneous things be the go to for hangouts. Ponce city plaza would be my go to just because of all of the restaurants available plus you can take scooters and ride around atlanta when everything is said and done.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout my parents for birthing someone like me.
