We had the good fortune of connecting with Tosha Thornton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tosha, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting my own business was driven by my desire for both financial independence and flexibility as a single parent. I wanted to be in control of how much I earned and how I allocated my time, ensuring that I could meet the demands of my career while still fulfilling my responsibilities as a parent. In my previous roles, I always gave 100% effort, but I often felt undervalued and underpaid, especially considering the impact I had on the company’s success. I realized that in order to create the life I envisioned for my children, I needed to take charge of my future, invest in myself, and work tirelessly toward my own success. This decision allowed me to build something that not only benefits me but also creates a legacy for my family.

What should our readers know about your business?
As a real estate broker and realtor, what sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to transparency and my genuine desire to do right by everyone, regardless of their situation or budget. I pride myself on guiding individuals who aspire to become homeowners, educating them throughout the process so that it’s not just about buying a house, but creating a true home. For me, it’s not just about closing a sale—it’s about delivering a meaningful, lasting impact.

My journey to where I am today is built on motivation, drive, and a constant willingness to learn. I embrace constructive criticism and seek out knowledge from those who are eager to share their experiences. The road hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve learned that challenges are part of the growth process. You have to dust yourself off and keep moving forward because anything worth achieving is worth working hard for.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to never give up when times get tough. Surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals and those who exude positive energy is crucial. I believe in the power of positive affirmations and the strength that comes from a supportive community.

Ultimately, I want the world to know that I’m just an ordinary person driven to make extraordinary changes. My mission is to be a beacon of hope for those who feel hopeless and a source of encouragement for those battling self-doubt. Through my work, I hope to inspire others to believe in themselves and their dreams.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friends were visiting for a week, we’d keep it fun, laid-back, and full of memorable moments. Since we’re all about enjoying the simple pleasures in life, we’d start by immersing ourselves in nature with some scenic walks or a peaceful afternoon at a beautiful park, just soaking in the calm and catching up over great conversation.

We all love to cook, so we’d definitely mix in some amazing home-cooked meals. One night, I’d bring in a private chef to spoil us with a fancy dinner at home, but I’d also take over the kitchen for a couple of nights to whip up some of our favorite dishes. For the rest of the week, we’d explore spots with authentic local food, hunting down the best hidden gems in town.

Of course, we’d need some good laughs and live music to keep the vibe going. I’d find a comedy club for an evening of non-stop laughter, followed by a night of live music to just vibe out and maybe even a dance class to let loose and have some fun.

To add a creative touch, we’d hit up a paint-and-sip class—nothing better than wine, art, and laughter. And no trip is complete without a little shopping spree, so we’d wrap up the week browsing the best shopping centers. Overall, it’d be a week full of good food, great company, and unforgettable moments!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my mother, whose unwavering belief in my abilities has been a constant source of strength and motivation. She was my greatest supporter, always encouraging me to pursue my goals, even during times when I doubted myself. Her faith in me, coupled with her love and guidance, instilled a sense of determination and resilience that has shaped my journey. Her support was not only uplifting but a driving force behind my successes, and for that, I owe her an immense amount of gratitude.
