We had the good fortune of connecting with Tony Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tony , we’d love to hear about a book that’s had an impact on you.
The last book that I read was ‘The Total Money Makeover’ by Dave Ramsey. I enjoyed reading Dave’s book because he give the reader insight on how to get out of debt and stay out of debt through his seven step process.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve been in the film industry for over 10 years working as an assistant accountant. I started my journey as an accounting clerk on the feature film American Reunion and worked my way up the accounting chain. I’ve worked on several major film productions, with budgets ranging from $70 million-$400 million, as an assistant accountant, including Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War and Lincoln. Through my career, I’ve learned to always ask questions and work diligently on every show. I’m also an event photographer on the side. I’ve always enjoyed working in the entertainment industry and have been doing so for 19+ years.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my best friend to midtown and we would go explore Ponce City market. We would enjoy a good entertaining time at City Winery, watching a performance given by musical artist. We would then go explore the Beltline and walk around in Piedmont park. We would also go to Bar Taco in the Highlands and enjoy their adult beverages.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife, Yvonne D. Davis
