Meet Toney Lewis | Prophet & Spiritual Leader

We had the good fortune of connecting with Toney Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Toney, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I knew I heard the Call of God on my life at an early age BUT it was when I heard His Voice to lead His People, no lie, I was taken aback. I knew I could lead people but to actually lead them in a sacred place, oh no, lol. I’d just rather sing, worship and pray, hands down! Lol

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Before the Pastorate, I’m an Intercessor. In my family, it was mandatory to maintain a concrete life of prayer & meditation. Growing up, my great grandparents made me leave with them for prayer service. Once there, I would strategically listen to the Saints go forth into prayer and supplication to The Creator. In so doing, many would often begin to speak in tongues and prophesy, even thru dance.
So as I matured in my Christian walk, the ascension gift of The Prophet was exposed around the age of 6 and from there on, I started having having dreams and visions of things to come. I’d tell it to my parents for interpretation. And as I matured I’d write down my visions/dreams and date them. As the vision or dream manifested I’d date when/where it took place accordingly and the Gift of Prophecy enhanced.
But it was when I conducted Prayer Meeting (Zions Remnant Prayer Revival Crusade) in my house at the startup of the pandemic. Holy Spirit allowed me to hear sirens and planes. All of a sudden I saw a slew of people and army vehicles crowd downtown Atlanta. And I began to to utter the Word of The Lord among the ppl in attendance. And it was during the assassination of George Floyd that those events of numerous riots happened across America.
From that I continued with the Prayer Meetings in my home until we disbanded due to the spike of numbers with COVID. Although there was a disband I continued in Prayer & Meditation, and from there Holy Spirit began to thrust me into Leadership. November 2022, Zions Remnant became The Assembly of The Upright.
I now Pastor a blossoming ministry The Assembly Of The Upright temporarily located in College Park Georgia. We’re a Body of Believers who love God and the community. AU Atlanta is driven by the slogan: A Church on purpose, in purpose and with purpose. We preach Jesus and make Disciples, that’s the ultimate goal. In addition to being a Pastor, I also do Prophetic Counseling for those who need spiritual direction. In addition to building Christian culture, I’ll be launching KCLA: Kingdom Covenant Leaders Association, it’s an outreach Ministry where Leaders band together to promote positive impact in our communities.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
