We had the good fortune of connecting with Tivoni The High Priestess and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tivoni, how do you think about risk?
Risk taking has played a very important role in my life and career. Often times in the past I had a decision wether I would buy groceries or buy paint. I bought paint bc the risk I’m willing to take. On myself my gift and my goals. Without risk there is no reward. In April 2020 when COVID hit i decided to pick up and move myself and my two kids to Atlanta where I had never been and didn’t know anyone. But I was determined to make something happen for myself and my dreams. I sold everything i had and drove into Smyrna ended up in Marietta i launched my first solo art exhibit downtown Atlanta 6 months later and have opened my art gallery now in June of 2021. Without risk I would not be doing what I love today.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started painting back in 2016 when I was in the military as an outlet for relief. I started doing portraits for others then i open my business while active duty Tivoni Studio Gallery as an online gallery. At first it was freeing because my children would be asleep but now as my company has matured and my family. I have been blessed to be able to just create and bless others with my work. To create freely. I like to create experiences for people to get lost in. I don’t want to sell pretty pictures per-say , I want you to feel me. I like to portray my spiritual journey in many of my pieces to connect others with God in their own unique way.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my friend to cafe intermezzo for brunch because it’sa beautiful classy atmosphere. French style. Stroll through the belt line take some pictures. Go to top golf. And the laughing library in the evening for some lit comedy downtown atl maybe even do a skit

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to give Glory to God for sending me the Spirit Fam Members of Third Eye Shawty FB group. They have showed up for me and supported me every step of this journey.
