We had the good fortune of connecting with Tina Greer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tina, when you are approached by someone at a networking event, what makes you want to connect with someone? What makes you want to avoid them?
When I am at a networking event, what makes me want to connect with someone is first and foremost the initial presentation of how they show up at the event. 3 factors I look for while attending networking events are: 1) Presentation, do they look the part? 2) Are they approachable, do they smile or look engaging? 3) Their conversation, are they confident in what they offer and know how to engage with others? What I try to avoid is the following: 1) Pushy person who attempts to shove a business card in your face without first striking up a conversation to see if there is synergy between you. 2) A person who goes around giving their elevator pitch, but is not focused on hearing about your business. 3) A person who begins asking for pricing, i.e., how much does your services costs without first seeing the value of your offerings by having an additional follow-up conversation.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the CEO of Greer Business Solutions, LLC with 20+ years of experience in business management, finance, and business development. I assist clients in problem-solving, goal setting, and achievement, increasing self-esteem and confidence. Coaching business owners to optimize revenue streams from a cost-conscious perspective. In addition, a seasoned Pricing Expert working with service contracts of medium to large range proposal values from $30M and above. What separates me from the others is that I have taken my skills and expertise in the world of government contracting and now teach small business owners how to find, bid, and win government contracts. My training consists of workshops, on-line coaching academy, and 1-1 VIP consultations. I am excited when another small business owner understands the unlimited opportunities available and are willing to work for it and learn what they need to know to win their first contract and many more. I got to where I am today by starting in the corporate world working for successful government contractors. My experience ranges from contracts management, business development, to 12 plus year pricing multi-million-dollar efforts for corporations bidding on government contracts. It was not easy, but well worth it! I have had many senior level mentors that showed me how and now I show others who are ready to learn! I want the world to know that if you want to achieve success, you can! You must have the right mindset first and foremost in any endeavor you want to achieve. Make sure you surround yourself with forward-thinking like-minded individuals who want to obtain success and are willing to work for it. You will have good and bad days, but if you stay focused on your goals, you will achieve them. Persistence and being consistent in your efforts are key. Don’t give up! My tag line is #MillionaireMaker, if I can make corporations millions, why not help you achieve your financial goals as well. If you are ready to learn, I am here to teach!

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
I would take them to my favorite spots. First of all, I love live music so we may attend an outdoor concert and listen to some Old School R&B or other types of music. I am open to Jazz, Blues, R&B, Gospel. I just love live concerts. We would also make time to visit the Georgia Mountains and visit some wineries. We would also participate in wine tastings. I like sweet wines the best! We will also visit the Georgia Aquarium one of those days, but keeping in mind, we both need to rest between each excursion. I would also take them to Rays on the River, or Ruth Chris, just a couple of my favorite restaurants.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Shoutout is to my Mother, Anna Claggett; a strong, resilient woman who raised me. She is a hard worker, gives unselfishly, and is loved by many. I also want to shout out my Grandmother, Louise Anderson, although she is no longer with us, she is here in spirit. Thank you for loving me, teaching me, and encouraging me along my journey as a young woman. You are truly missed.
