We had the good fortune of connecting with Timethia Bennett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Timethia, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
Well one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make was changing my mindset and choosing to Grow. As crazy as it may sound it was difficult to break my mentality out of a working mindset. Reason being that I used to always look for validation from others on the outside even when I knew I had no reason to. It took all of 30 days to start the mindset transition which is still a work in progress. Choosing growth over comfortability has not only made my lifestyle change but it also allowed me to think better and expunge a lot of relationships with no benefits to my future on which I was headed. Being able to think and actually fulfill my purpose is just the tip of the iceberg. Evolving into the best version of me was not easy and to this day I’m continuing to be positive and teaching my self everyday that all energy is not good energy and that all people are not in your best interest. I have struggled for year fighting against my working mentality. Staying Discipline when there So much doubt and indecisiveness and concern was always key. Failure was Always right there staring me straight in the face. I couldn’t even to allow my self to move forward because I was so intertwined in the “what if” or making some excuse for why I can’t grow, but when it all came down to it it was me ! I was the only person holding me back and that if I wanted to be the best version of me I would have to trust AND BELIEVE IN MY SELF. When I realized that you have take risk and that failure is Not a loss but a another opportunity to get it right that’s when I knew that my mindset was shifting. One thing about the mind is that you can be a prisoner of your own fear and and thought .i have accepted full responsibility for my actions thus far and from here on out I am responsible for me and me only !

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Mane Atraction was founded 2020. Specializing in natural hair of all textures
What sets me apart from other is not my business but my personality which I can say that a lot of people lack. Dressing hair is not only a craft but it’s a passion I am able to create not only these wonderful works of art but I take pride in what I do. Doing hair is only half of my service. When a client sits in my hair I want them to feel comfortable, it’s a space of peace, laughter and harmony! Not times it’s not all about your clients hair but more so about them. I focus on what my clients desire and I achieve just that!

I got this far honesty from hard work physically “laughing “ but I got here from discipline and gratitude. For sure it’s not easy because I’m in a industry were it’s a continuous revolving door for new trends, styles, etc .So staying on top of things and being aware of my talents I consistently educated myself because there is always room to grow.

One important thing that I learned is that Hard work only goes so far.

One thing that I want the world to know is hair care is made of of two parts love and passion
