We had the good fortune of connecting with Tikara Abramson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tikara, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting Vital Braids Creations was a bit challenging yet fun. The name itself holds weight, structure, and value. Vital comes from my middle name, Vitalia which originally came from my Dad Vital. Vital is a name people used to call my dad when he was younger and carried along with him in his years as he got older. Vital can mean so many things. Vital means powerful, strong, unity, top of the throne. Braids because I love braiding hair. I’ve been braiding hair since as young as I could remember. I used to be at school(Lakeside high) on my lunch break doing hair instead of eating and having me time. Creations well it speaks for itself. The styles and braids that I put into my clients hair creates the creativity behind the braids. Not knowing where my brand would take me I finally decided to step out on faith September 9, 2020 to begin working on Vital Braids Creations. Vitality is a state of being strong. When people get their hair done they feel a sense of energy ,strength, and confidence. Overall I wanted to be able to deliver that by doing something I love while helping people feel that extra oomph with Vital Braids Creations .

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets Vital Braids Creations apart from others is the brand itself, Vital is a state of being strong, when you get your hair done, you feel a sense of energy, strength, and confidence. When you get up out the chair you feel like how everyone would feel Brand New!

I’m proud of myself and how far I’ve came. Though discouraging moments, I still held my crown high and walked forward. I’m excited to see where Vital Braids Creations takes me and how far it goes. I know God has much more in-store for me and I am ready for the adventure.

“You can do anything you set your mind too if you simply work hard and never give up”

I got to where I am today by promoting and marketing my brand and name. You have to put in work in within. Every day or other day I had ads running through Facebook and Instagram and just started with Tiktok as well. Branding is key within successful business.

Nothing is easy I would say. Keep moving forward and never give up. If you thirsty and you hungry go after it. Remember to keep God 1st. He will guide you through it all. I overcame any obstacles by keeping my faith with in God and myself to know I can and not have “I can’t” in my vocabulary.

Lessons I’ve learned along the way are; market and promote yourself, don’t be discourage, walk by faith not by sight, don’t let anyone ideas intimate you by moving forward, be careful who you sure your ideas with because not all are going to understand, pray, and believe in yourself, Don’t give up and work hard.

I want the world to know that Vital Braids Creations is just getting started. Plenty more services to come. Don’t feel discourage in anything you. Book now and let Vital Braids Creations bring creativity to light ✨

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Adventure time! Atlanta where I currently reside. We are definitely going to Stone Mountain Park, on Monday. We can take a walk up the mountain, enjoy the view or ride the sky-lineSix and enjoy the sites. Get great food from Louisiana Bistro. You have to try their grill oysters with crab meat so tasty. Tuesday nice trolls through Atlanta Botanical Gardens, with a fine lobster tail and steak from The Captial Grille. Their comos are to die for. Wednesday we go up north to North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall for a little shopping. Girls love shopping. Shopping does make you hungry so why not stop at Buckhead Grill for some delicious food. Thursday would be perfect to go to The Battery Atlanta. Watch a braves game, go shopping, and dine in restaurants and get drinks from Fat Tuesday. The Galleria and Cumberland Mall and many more is also in the area so the day would most definitely be spent just here. Friday, the night life is filled with music and entertainment. Normally a laid back lounge would suite just right to start the weekend off. Saturday, walk the City of Atlanta, get on the sky view and enjoy the ferris wheel. Go to the Sun and Dial Restaurant, eat, and enjoy looking over the beautiful City of Atlanta. Sunday, chill good vibes at Frost Bistro or Old Lady Gang where there’s brunch, music, and amazing stuff.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Ah man! Where do I begin! Of course I’d like to thank the most high God. Without his will and works I won’t be able to push through this far. He is the reason behind it all. He has helped me with stressful nights, long hours, preparation, and more. With faith you have to believe in him.

I’d like to thank my kids, Zyriah and Kaiden. I step my foot out there on faith for them. Everything I am doing is for my kids and that they will follow great leadership, lessons, and skills behind Vital Braids Creations.

I’d like to also thank my family, my dad who is the one who holds the name, my grandma’s, my mom, sisters who all helped me through tough times, my boyfriend who pushed me to not give up and work on on what I truly want, my friends, my braider Tatti(A Braidsers Touch), Unique(Bougienfit) for inspiring me with the creativity behind scene, my supporters, and everyone else. Without them I won’t have made it this far. Thank you all for trusting and supporting Vital Braids Creations.
