We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, what matters most to you?
The value or principle I value the most is to stay true to yourself. In today’s world, we are always ‘swayed’ to be like the next big thing, or the next trend. If you stay true to who you are, success will be even more rewarding.
What should our readers know about your business?
Aah’Shea is a family-owned business whose mission is to provide moisturizing plant-based products that are made for the entire family. The entire collection is derived from shea butter as the base ingredient. We offer body butters, soaps, bath bombs, oils, and lip balms.
We began crafting our body cream primarily for two members of our family that were battling eczema but wanted a cream that everyone in the family could use. We used our body cream within our family for about two years before we decided to launch a business and expand the product line.
The road of entrepreneurship definitely has hills and valleys along the way! One of the major struggles we faced was the digital marketing world. My husband and I grew up in a time of traditional marketing and digital marketing for a business was brand new world to us that we had to learn and still are learning. We had a few other bumps along the way just as many other small businesses face. But we keep pushing along learning and growing.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am still fairly new to the city and have not had the chance to explore all the city has to offer so it would be an adventure for the both of us. I would take them to learn a little culture at the MLK monument, stop and eat some amazing food at different restaurants in the city, enjoy some delicious cocktails at one of the many wonderful restaurants, and chill out at Piedmont Park.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A major shoutout to my biggest fan and support system, my husband. He was in my corner in the beginning stages of brainstorming the business, pushed me when I was ready to give-up, and celebrated me with all of my wins.
