We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Kelly and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
To be honest, being an entrepreneur was never the goal for me. It all started after recognizing the need and opportunity for chic women’s workwear. I was in the middle of a transition — about to start with a new company and I recently lost weight …so I was in desperate need of an upgraded work wardrobe. I found myself overly searching for work clothes and thought that was absolutely insane! As much time and energy that we put into our professional lives, why don’t we have a go to spot for work-wear? And why does getting dressed for work or buying work clothes always seem like a chore? I felt like we needed a new outlook from a new perspective. Not to mention how the price points seem to never align with my coins! From there I became obsessed with the eagerness to build a platform that not only sold work clothing, but also a place that inspired women to go after their career goals – while looking good doing so. I pride myself in being resourceful – at work as well as amongst family and friends, and wanted to be just as resourceful to women all over. Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
At CoWerk, we aim to bring women fashionable “ work appropriate” clothing. We acknowledge the evolution of women in the workplace and now it’s time to enhance the wardrobe that coincides with this evolution. CoWerk contributes a great amount of time searching for the perfect pieces that not only fits our style, but most importantly fits our bodies. We pride ourselves on ensuring that our pieces are multipurpose – from the office, straight to date night.
CoWerk is offered at an affordable price which gives customers peace of mind when purchasing “work clothes”. The continuous growth in pop culture has allowed acceptance for self expression via your attire in the workplace, and we want to provide women the opportunity to adapt…fashionably.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had to pick an area in Miami to have a great night with my best friend, it’ll be Brickell. Brickell is what influenced me to move to Miami. There is so much to do in Brickell and it’s home to so many cute spots. Dining – Komodo, Crazy About You Shopping in Brickell City Center. Drinks/Nightlife – Barsecco, Sugar rooftop – Pool Day – SLS Brickell, EAST Miami. All are a few of my favs!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shout-out to God because I’m forever grateful for him. I recognize how pivotal he’s been/he is in my life and I can not thank him enough. There’s been plenty of times when I’ve allowed other things to get in the way of my faith or connection to him, but regardless he’s always RIGHT THERE when I need him – forgiving me with open arms, knowing damn well I don’t deserve it.
