We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Jones-Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
That Creating Tall Fashion is not an easy task because it is not represented in many companies. Petite is in almost every major store you walk into but getting Tall clothing is like finding a needle in a haystack. Taking this route is expensive and challenging from finding manufacturers and getting the fit and length just right for women who are 5’9” and Taller.

What should our readers know about your business?
I started sewing when I was 14 but my path wasn’t always fashion. I went to college and got my degree in management. After that I served 8 years in the Navy. After that I went to Fashion School. I learned so much throughout my working career. These tools have truly helped me with organizing my business properly specifically on the backside. I learned so much about hiring employees and processes. The hardest part has been moving around constantly as my husband is still in the military. I have had to be the new person in cities over and over. Networking has been something I have had to master and master it quickly. My story is still continuing and I am still growing. I learn something new everyday , every collection, every time I expand. I have a passion for making women feel good on the inside and outside

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My best friend is big on crafting as well. We would go fabric shopping because Atlanta always has the best unique fabrics. We would shop wholesale places to find unique outfits in fashion district. We would find a nice brunch spot to have drinks. I love little unique spots like Cardinal or The Third Door. We love the city because it is so fashion forward and so full of life especially at night. We have always met so many fun people to dance and drink with. We never go out with a big group and it usually turns into a bug party when we are out at night Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother Carolyn and God Mother Kandy. Both of these women are over 5’10” in height. Since I can remember they have always embraced their height from wearing heels and dressing beautifully. They gave me the confidence to stand Tall and embrace my height at 6’1”. I was made to stand up, smile and command presence in a room. They were never shy about the way they looked. They keep me , even now , encouraged and unafraid to take on a market that hasn’t fully accepted us. They give me feedback after shopping with me and help me with cultivating this brand. They help me find my voice and me unapologetic about speaking out on topics. I am fully confident in the way I express my designs because of them.
