We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Glenn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
If you know me personally, you’d know how much I preach about a healthy work life balance! Over time, my work-life balance has evolved as my career and responsibilities have grown. Initially, managing both my role as a Senior HR Partner at a Fortune 500 company and leading Jules.Joy Ltd. Co. required a lot of trial and error. I had to learn how to prioritize and set boundaries to prevent burnout. Burnout and mental health is real. Early on, the balance was more about trying to juggle everything and ensure nothing fell through the cracks.

Now, my approach to balance has become more fluid and intentional. I’ve learned that balance isn’t about splitting my time evenly between my corporate role and my entrepreneurial ventures; it’s about focusing on what matters most at any given moment. I’ve adopted a mindset of flexibility, knowing that sometimes one role will require more attention than the other, and that’s okay. My passion for helping people—whether it’s supporting employees with my HR hat or providing transformative experiences through Jules.Joy Ltd. Co.—keeps me grounded.

The purpose of founding Jules.Joy Travel and Jules.Joy Consulting was deeply rooted in my understanding of how important work-life balace is. I wanted to create a space where others could experience the same balance that I’ve worked hard to cultivate. Whether through transformative travel experiences or strategic consulting solutions, I wanted to ensure that everyone – regardless of budget – could achieve a balance that supports their professonal goals and personal well-being.

I’ve also come to appreciate the complementary nature of my careers. Today, balance for me is about integration and ensuring that my personal and professional goals align with my values of joy, empowerment, and excellence. My goal is to help others discover their own balance through the services Jules.Joy offers, because I know firsthand how vital it is to both success and happiness.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
One of my proudest achievements is successfully navigating the challenges of managing a senior role in corporate America while growing a business designed to democratize access to transformative experiences, regardless of budget. My unique approach is shaped by my commitment to helping others find joy and balance in their lives.

My journey to where I am today was not a easy one. I faced numerous challenges, such as managing a household while my husband worked an opposite shift, pursuing a Bachelors and Masters in the evenings alongside my mother, and caring for two young children. I started in a temporary administrative role over Christmas break, which evolved into a flourishing HR career. These experiences were underpinned by perseverance, determination, and the consistent choice to find joy and strength through my faith.

The lessons I’ve embraced along the way are aligned with my personal and professional philosophy: “Choose joy, even when it doesn’t feel joyful,” “You can do anything,” and “It may not be easy, but it’s worth it.” These guiding principles have helped me overcome obstacles and achieve success.

At Jules.Joy Ltd. Co., our mission extends beyond the individual; it’s about creating opportunities for joy and enrichment for everyone we touch. Our brand is a testament to the belief that life, even with its complexities, is rich with potential for joy and satisfaction. We aim to inspire and empower others to discover this potential in their own lives.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
With age comes wisdom they say, so my definition of best time ever would be pretty low key and relaxing. For a week long trip in Columbia, SC, I would plan a detailed itinerary something like this: Mornings would begin at The Grand on Main, Tazza Kitchen, Lake Murray, The Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli, Saturday Soda City Market and Saludas. In the afternoon we would visit some familiar places like Finlay park, II Giorgione Pizzeria and Wine Bar, a tour of Mann-SImons Site and lunch at Liberty Tap Room, Rusty Anchor, The Gourmet Shop or Motor Supply Co. Bistro. For the evenings, we would end the days with Terra, The Oak Table, Ristorante Divino, Hendrix, Halls Chop House, Pearlz Oyster Bar or Black Rooster.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my amazing mom, Janet Jules. As the oldest of four girls, with an 11-year age gap between me and my next sister, my mom and I did everything together. She has always been a pillar of strength, generosity, and perseverance—making a way when there seemed to be none. Throughout my entire life, she has been my biggest supporter, encouraging me every step of the way. Her strength and unwavering love have been the foundation of my journey, and I am forever grateful for her presence in my life. Growing up, my mother, consistently placed the needs of her family and others above her own, often at the expense of her own joy. She has always told me, “Believe in yourself and never stop chasing your dreams. Whenever you feel overwhelmed remember whose daughter you are and continue the journey.” This has not only shaped my personal and professional goals but also continue to inspire the mission of my company, ensuring that everyone can access opportunities for meaningful and enriching experiences.
