We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany B and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
My work/life balance has shifted since Covid began. In March of 2020, I was furloughed from my 9-5 and haven’t been back since then. I was nervous and worried, but I found the blessing in it all. Losing my 9-5 gave me time to focus on my business, Just For Sweets, even more and be home for the obstacles Covid continued to bring us all. I had to take all the fear I had and turn it into “fuel”. I can say that the balance I have between home and business isn’t necessarily easier, but the benefits are greater. I now have more time to push content and create even more beautiful cakes for my clients, for that, I am grateful.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When I created Just For Sweets, I had no idea it would grow the way it has. One thing that sets Just For Sweets apart is the customer service, the honesty, and the cake !!! I pride myself in providing the best customer service because it is so important! I do my best to make my clients know they are appreciated before the order is even complete. I am always honest with my clients when turning their cake dreams into reality. The last thing I want to do is provide a client with a cake that they’re not satisfied with. Let’s not forget the cake! My cakes are everything they should be and more. The taste, the look, the details and the love I pour into my work keeps my clients coming back! Getting Just For Sweets where it is today was far from easy and there is so much left to do. I am still learning so much about running an actual business by myself. Knowledge with some trial and error is how I overcame those challenges. I had to keep faith and push through!
Lessons I’ve learned is to keep learning and trust the process. There are many days that I just step back and breathe before I continue. It helps tremendously .
Just For Sweets is made Just For You! That is the first thing I told myself when I decided to step into the business world. I take pride in providing the best to my abilities and you will taste it in every bite.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Wow, this one is tough. I’ve been here so long and still have so much to experience. We’d have to check out iFly indoor skydiving, The Escape Room, and Top Golf. I think she’d enjoy those for sure. I’d take her to Little Five Points and we’d enjoy that experience. She loves hiking and nature so I’d have to take her to Kennesaw Mountain and a bike ride through Piedmont Park.
Seafood always wins so we’d stop by Six Feet Under Pub & Fish, The Optimist, and Krab Queenz, and STK Atlanta. We’d have to stop by Milk and Honey and Susi’s Taco Grill as well!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Just For Sweets has been an experience but it wouldn’t have blossomed without the push from my family. Before I even created a name, my family supported me and motivated me to create what is now one of my biggest achievements. My grandma has supported me non stop, I owe her so much! I can hear all 6 members of my household saying “that one is the one!” and those small moments help me during my toughest times. To my family, my household, and my extended family, thank you for everything and more. Thank you for the motivation and continuous support! To “my person” and my best friend, Thank you for the laughs and the continuous support. I appreciate it more than I may say! Love, Love, Love them all!
