We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffani Beck and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffani, what do you attribute your success to?
I believe there are many important factors behind my success such as my work ethic, professionalism, talent, training and personality but above all, the community and client base I have built is everything. As a Live Wedding Painter, I work alongside a team of vendors to make our clients’ dream weddings become reality. Without a good reputation among my peers, my success would be nothing. I had been live event painting for two years before it truly became profitable. I had been simply relying on social media and word of mouth to help get my name out there. However, once I felt confident in what I had to offer, I started to reach out to local venues. From there, I had a few ask me to participate in their open houses and vendor showcases and that has helped my business tremendously. Now, I have such an amazing group of people who recommend me and that absolutely means the world to me. Work breeds work and the more you put yourself out there, the more opportunities will come your way.
Of course my clients’ satisfaction of my work plays an enormous role as well. I would be nowhere without their support.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Live Wedding Painter based in Gainesville, GA but I will travel anywhere! I show up to your venue the day of and paint any scene that you would like LIVE as its happening. I start from a blank canvas and paint throughout the entire event so your guests can watch! Once the painting is finished you can hang it on your wall and admire your custom keepsake forever.

I have always painted for as long as I can remember and actually have a Fine Arts degree from Kennesaw State University. I mainly painted commissions from photos until a longtime friend asked if I would be interested in painting her wedding live. I was so nervous but she could not have been sweeter and trusted me to bring her vision to life. Shoutout Lauren! 🙂

Painting live can be extremely challenging at times. One of the toughest things for me to navigate is the elements. A lot of times I am set up outside if that is where the ceremony is and the weather is not always nice. Its really difficult to paint if your hands are numb from being too cold but its not ideal to wear gloves. Sometimes it rains or gets super hot but I just have to roll with the punches and make it work no matter what. No matter how hard it may be, my number 1 goal is for the couple to have no idea because it is their wedding day and if I can help it, it will be 100% perfect.

I would love for the world to know that this job is so special to me and I cannot show my appreciation enough to the couples and families who allow me to be a part of the best day of their lives. It is such an honor and I am beyond blessed to make a living doing what I love.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The city of Gainesville is growing rapidly and it is so exciting to me! If my best friend were to come visit for a week, we would definitely do lots of fun activities such as dock yoga, hiking around the lake, maybe a little horseback riding in Dahlonega, some shopping on the Gainesville square and outlets in Dawsonville. We both LOVE our coffee so I would take her to Boarding Pass on the square because she also loves to travel and it is flight themed! For food, I would take her to Longstreet Cafe (a Gainesville staple) for breakfast/brunch, the Inked Pig, Atlas for pizza, Avocados, 2 Dog, Roll on In for lunches and my favorite for dinner, Cotto. I also love The Stag.
And to treat ourselves, I love my ice cream so we would definitely have to pop into Kilwins or Buzzed Bull. Yum. Maybe even La Mejor De Michoacan for a chamoyada!
Even though I don’t really drink alcohol, my bestie does and I still enjoy being social and going out regardless of what I’m sipping on so I would also take her to some of the many breweries around and bars on the square.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Even though my career is a bit unconventional and not everyone believed I could make a living solely as an artist, throughout my life I was also surrounded by the most supportive people who never let me give up on my dreams. My parents always made sure I had art supplies and let me color and draw as much as my young heart desired. As I got older they made sure I knew that no matter what path I pursued they would be proud of me. So a HUGE shoutout to Terry and Cheryl is in order. I love you!
There are so many other people I could go on and on about such as my entire family, my amazing husband, my friends, my high school art teacher Mr. Knight, my former bosses from Sips N Strokes, Sandra and Kris and so many others. I am beyond blessed to have these amazing people in my life.
And I would be absolutely nothing without my organ donor, their family, my doctors, The Coulter Hampton Foundation and the community I was raised in lifting me up in prayer and helping my family financially while going through a liver transplant. I will never forget or take for granted that experience and everyone who helped get me through it.
