We had the good fortune of connecting with Ticora Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ticora, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
The end goal of my career is to expand The Creator’s Law Firm to serve clients in all areas of property (i.e., intellectual property, real estate and estate planning), launch a multi-million dollar tech company in the legal tech space, and partner with my husband to grow multi-family projects to develop neighborhoods.
What should our readers know about your business?
Creativity is currency. We help our clients create with freedom by removing legal targets from their brand’s back.
Our ideal clients are legacy driven entrepreneurs who are generating multi-six, seven and eight figures in revenue for their companies.
Our clients not only need general legal services in the field of contracts, human resources counseling, business restructuring but also trademark and copyright legal services and practical coaching as they begin to make executive-level decisions.
With navigating new terrain in terms of the wealth they are generating, our clients are also plagued with new worries, such as hiring and firing, securing new brand partnerships, and discovering new ways to monetize their intellectual property.
We help our clients by providing comprehensive and strategic legal counsel with the goal of strengthening their brands and defending their legal rights. This means securing new trademarks and copyrights, removing fake websites pirating their courses, and providing ongoing counsel for the legal landmines that pop up while building their brand.
Our position in the market hasn’t always been easy.
I am proud that the Creator’s Law Firm has built a safe place for women to work and birth whatever they desire whether it be a business or a baby. The dedication to our craft has resulted in serving over 1,000 unique businesses across various industries in over 37 States and 7 countries.
I never could have imagined after being fired for having my baby that this firm would create such a prolific movement and community that is empowered and educated about their unique legal rights and legacy.
Our biggest accomplishment, hands down, has been employing women, providing them with strong wages, and creating an emotionally safe work environment that nurtures their gifts and talents.
Recently, we adopted a 4-day workweek where our team works 32 hours each week while being compensated by working the full 40 hours per week. They are showing up to work excited, eager, refreshed and focused while having more time to rest and spend time with their families.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend visited the area, I would make a reservation for us to engage in things that would result in shenanigans galore. First, I would book us tickets on the Funny Bus Comedy City Tour to take a spin around the city, learn about the most interesting enclaves while cracking jokes along the way. Then we would engage in some retail therapy and get a much deserved massage at a beautiful resort. We would end the day together eating dinner at a soul food or Thai restaurant (whatever we’re in the mood for).
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out my parents for my success. My parents instilled in my grit, grace, determination, resilience, and stewardship. Their love and leadership guided me throughout my life and ensured I was equipped to navigate so many of the hills and valleys on my journey.
Whether it was encouragement to launch my firm, pay myself more money, hire help or get rest, their constant reassurance and wisdom has walked me into greater peace, prosperity, and power.
