We had the good fortune of connecting with Tia Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tia, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I enjoy the freedom creativity brings, going to Johnson and Wales for baking and pastry narrowed that energy down to things I could create that inspired others and brought them joy and euphoria. You just don’t get to provoke nostalgia and excitement like this in any career. The pride that comes with creating something new or modifying something old keeps me motivated and fulfilled.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Euphoria Desserts is a specialty dessert shop based in West Palm Beach Florida. We put a modern twist on nostalgic desserts like Birthday Cake cotton candy and Mini gingerbread house cookies that sit on your cups, interactive desserts that engage the senses are what I aim to provide and create.

I have been growing my business over the past 10 years, from just baking for friends and family to a successful online bakery. There are been many challenges but nothing that time and the right people to help can’t overcome.
Baking is a huge learning curve with lots of room for growth and improvement I look forward to where we can push the realm of desserts.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First we would meet for lunch and good conversation at a Yen’s Kitchen in Lake Worth. For their secret family recipe handmade Pho and iced tamarind drinks. After that we would take a walk around Mounts Botanical garden taking in the afternoon sun. The next day we could enjoy brunch at Big John’s Eatery and some beach time after.

For an evening time meet up we would have drinks at Hardware Restoration downtown and then my favorite steak tacos at Lost Weekend.

On Thursday we would go to art after dark at the Norton Museum with dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. It’s our place.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I definitely want to Shoutout my loving husband, Jon. He has helped me with every part of my business and life. He encourages me to try new things and believes in me and all my crazy ideas. He is caring, compassionate and truly a wonderful person.

My mother, Beverley, who has help me with in business endeavors. She’s who I get my creative side from.

My Mother-in-law, Anne, when I first started doing events she would supply me with ingredients and spend her day with us trying to sell desserts.

My sister, Brittany, I can call her for help whenever I needed.

My baby Iroh because he’s a beautiful soul.

And all my family and friends who have supported my business throughout the years. Giving me a chance to grow and blossom.
