We had the good fortune of connecting with Thomas Cantley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Thomas, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
In life it’s all about risks. Everything I do has a sense of risk and every choice I made has all been worth it. People told me I was crazy and couldn’t start my own streaming platform. They said it would be to hard and to big of an idea. But here I am with a killer team. Amy Emmerich, former Vice President of VICE MEDIA and Refinery 29, Kelly Summers who led the shift of Walt Disney Studios to Disney +, and so many others.. I have got my first VC round and launching on Oct 28th. If I listened to anyone or listened to that reptilian brain telling me that this is to risky.. than I wouldn’t be building an empire. I also was told that donating a dollar off my subscription to charities was to much.. and I said too bad.. and I was also told it was to much of a risk to keep my content solely focused on “ feel good” because mainstream content needs conflict… and drama.. but I’m moving forward with a clear mission in creating a space for creators and consumers to be inspired , uplifted and fulfilled by contributing to worthy causes.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Fifty top influencers and major celebrities are already on board to create 10-minute content blocks for Stream MOKO. This gives the platform over 100 million cumulative followers from day one. The stars of Stream MOKO are your favorite influencers who have earned millions of followers by producing high quality content that draws viewers in. Cantley believes in the power of positivity so much that he has embedded philanthropy into Stream MOKO’s core mission. The company will donate a full 20% of every subscription to charity.
“This has never been done before, and I’m not budging from it. “We’ll be partnering with some well-known charities like the Special Olympics as well as supporting smaller causes where we can have a really big impact.”
Imagine a space where viewers can feel good from our content and do good with their subscription. My goal after year 2 will be to have donated to over $100 million to charity’s.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would probably take them to Woodstock Ga 🙂 my home town and take them to reformation brewery where we could grab some brews and roam around the town. I love how dog friendly and kid friendly it is here. The culture in this small town has so much charm and to top it off I would then hit truck and tap for a tasty treat.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would not be able to create what I have created without the support of those around you. You are only as strong as your team. My wife is my co founder Ashley Cantley who deals with all my talent relations. She is a highly credited and a part of Emmy award winning teams . My mentor Amy Emmerich ex global president of refinery 29 and vice media. I bounce every idea off her and value her opinion in my creative direction. And my two guys that make everything happen for me in my day to day, Ty Twine and Brett Chestnut.. without them I wouldn’t have my platform in such a great place and lastly my creative genius behind the Brand Mr. Tom Cox who has branded so many major companies we all know 🙂 oh and my tech partner! Yaya without them none of it would be possible to have this out in the world.. Ohh and the amazing creators and non profits we will be working with!!
