We had the good fortune of connecting with Theresa Noye and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Theresa, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
When it comes to balancing work and life, I’ve realized that it’s not about splitting my time evenly. Instead, I focus on what I love and what energizes me.
First off, I pay attention to my energy. If something drains me or makes me feel constricted, I know it’s not serving me well. So, I prioritize activities that make me feel alive and open.
Setting boundaries is crucial too. I’ve learned to say no when I need to and to protect my time and energy. It’s like putting up fences to guard my well-being.
But it’s not all serious stuff. I believe in having fun. Even if I’m doing something I don’t particularly enjoy, I find ways to make it playful. Whether it’s turning on some music, taking silly breaks, or making up goofy songs, injecting a bit of fun keeps me going.
In the end, it’s about finding a rhythm that works for me – one that’s all about energy, boundaries, and a good dose of playfulness.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Many years ago I was at my breaking point. Between caring for my special needs son, working a full-time job, and juggling multiple roles, I was exhausted. I even considered running away from it all.
It hit me hard that I was neglecting my own needs in the midst of caring for everyone else. That was my wake-up call. I began to challenge the belief that as a woman, I had to do it all. I started prioritizing self-love and self-care, learning to communicate my needs and set boundaries.
As I embarked on my journey, I encountered countless women facing similar struggles – high achievers who put themselves last. It broke my heart to see these amazing women burning out from the pressure to constantly give without receiving in return.
My story is one of transformation – from exhaustion to empowerment.
Today, I’m on a mission to change that narrative. I work with women who, like me, have put themselves on the back burner for too long. I want them to know that their well-being matters, that they deserve to prioritize themselves without guilt. I do this with my Love Infusion Formula (LIF).
I want the world to know that self-love isn’t selfish; it’s sacred. LIF has equipped high achieving women to break free from the cycle of self-neglect and embrace a culture of self-care and fulfillment.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I prefer to focus on meaningful moments over busy attractions. We’d spend more evenings at home connecting and enjoying home cooked meals. I eat flour free & sugar free. And I have a few other unique allergies so I limit my eating out. I love nature so Botanical Gardens and Fernbank Museum are great to enjoy. I’d have to check out my favorite jazz artist Lori Williams at the Atlanta Wine and Jazz Festival.. Cocktails at Anasi are always a special treat.nding with a heartfelt goodbye.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I owe a huge shoutout to my family. They’ve been the guiding lights on my journey towards self-discovery and self-love. Amidst the hustle and bustle of life, they taught me the invaluable lesson of cherishing myself. Their unwavering support and love created a safe space for me to explore my authentic self and forge deeper connections with God, myself, and those I hold dear. They’ve been the catalysts for my growth, and I’m forever grateful for their presence in my life.
