We had the good fortune of connecting with The Well of Roswell Becky Arrington/Donna Futrell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi The Well of Roswell, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
The Well of Roswell is a Holistic Healing and Events Center focusing on wellness and personal spiritual development offering individual sessions with a host of practitioners, classes, lectures, drumming, workshops and events. By bringing the metaphysical to the mainstream, we are indeed a community based organization. We know that as each person heals from past trauma, illness, etc. whether mental, physical or emotional they in turn are a better, more positive member of society, with the capacity then to give to others.

What should our readers know about your business?
The Well of Roswell is a holistic healing and events center located in Roswell, GA and home to eight independent practitioners. We offer classes, workshops, and events to assist individuals on their healing journey and transformation.

Owners Donna Futrell and Becky Arrington, together have a combined 50 years working with energy medicine, studying yoga, polarity therapies, hypnotherapy, past life regression, emotional clearing, inner child healing and spiritual channeling, and a host of other modalities helping people along their spiritual paths. Our center brings the metaphysical to the mainstream by offering classes, workshops and events to help your personal transformation and spiritual awakening amidst a strong, supportive community.

There are a lot of consortiums of holistic healing practitioners who share space, but what sets ours apart is the event area which hosts a rotating artist gallery every quarter highlighting local artists and is rentable for others to share their expertise through classes or workshops (seated 30, yoga 10, standing reception 50).

Who starts a new business during the pandemic? We do! Opening in November 2021 all signs pointed to success; the desired location, gorgeous refurbished 2,000 sq. ft. space, holistic practitioners to fill the offices and events that started booking immediately told us the time was right. There are a lot of people who have suffered personal or professional loss and depression during the past several years, and are looking for somewhere they can find healing, community and involvement. We have found our weekly Mindful Monday Meditation is well attended giving participants the centering needed to start their week on a positive note. The once a month Sacred Beats Drumming is a time for community sharing and allows for individual expression. Monthly Sound Journeys allow people to relax and transport themselves through the music of the spheres, all in a nurturing environment.

Both owners have a corporate business background which has helped in grounding the business in a more realistic framework. Becky’s expertise in marketing coupled with Donna’s IT training have helped give us a solid foundation that many entrepreneurs, especially in the metaphysical or holistic community may not have.

Current challenges we are facing are balance and scheduling. As a new business, it requires lots of time and attention to drive your success, which in our case can also mean late nights and weekends when events are scheduled. We have been able to take on some advertising expenses and hire a social media person, but as of yet have not had the budget to hire someone to oversee events. Couple that with both owners having our own individual businesses (Arrington & Associates Clinical Hypnotherapist and Futrell Enterprises Polarity and Energetic Therapy) joining the practitioners at The Well and there is only so much time and attention available. Hopefully the near future will afford us multiple thriving businesses which integrate and support each other. A new business however takes constant tending and growing.

Greatest lesson: Trust, Manifesting and Intention. We employ on a daily practice intention setting and manifesting techniques to create what we want and need for the business. Things have come easily and effortlessly and we have thus far hit all our business goals. The key to that though is to trust. If something isn’t happening in the way or the time you have intended…trust that it will all come about in its own divine way and timing. Sometimes the universe has much greater things in store than what we can even imagine.
