We had the good fortune of connecting with the Tone Atlanta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi the Tone, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
MUSIC MAKES THE WORLD GO AROUND!!!!!! Everyone has a song that helps them get through their rough times, happy, times…. JUST TIMES PERIOD, whether it be heart break, death, marriage, divorce, sex, partying, you get my drift. From the simplest, “Before I let you go away, can I get a kiss goodnight?” to the grungiest, “There’s something in this liquor. The air is getting thicker.” From the most jolly, “Happy Birhtday, to ya!!!!!! Haaaa Peeee Birthday!” To the most passionate, “Although we’ve come to the end of the road, still I can’t let go. It’s unnatural, you belong to me, I belong to you,” music is and always will be the heartbeat that keeps the world spinning.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Now, I’ve been working hard with getting music together to release this year. So, I dropped my EP, “0723” at the first of the year, then I dropped a couple of singles weekly, leading up to the release of my 2nd EP of the year, “Southern Classic”. I released it on Valentine’s Day. I did some promotional things, which was extremely difficult because of COVID. Majority of it was digital. So it was a little challenging, maybe even difficult a little because of the lack of fan support. It didn’t stop me though, fans or no fans, I’m an entertainer, and I did just that.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, the city just opening back up, but if I had to go to a few places, hmmmm…..of course, we gotta eat, so breakfast would vary from the Real Milk and Honey, Thumbs Up, and Waffle House. Yes, Waffle House is and always will be a “Southern Classic.” Lunch/Dinner, we’d go to the Sugar Factory, Trader Vic’s, depending on pre drinks or post drinks meal, Grant Central Pizza or Edgewood Pizza. Now, partying, I’m a late night guy, so I wanna leave when the sun rises with my Armani Aviators on. So after hours spots are my thing, and my favorite is Blu Lagoon, hands down. Members Only is a close 2nd, and the Voo 2 is 3rd. Sunday morning, I’ll be in church praising the lord at House of Hope. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shout out to my team: Signature Management, Matinée Music Group, and Chateau Creations. My partners in crime, Loe.ki & Matinée. My mentors, B Wheezy, Toro (LIKETHEBULL), Street Sweepa (Yo Atl Raps), & Mario (Braid My Hair, Closer to Mars, Luxury Love), thank y’all for all the advice, pointers, and guidance. Last, and most of all, my # 1 fan, My Mommy, and all of her followers (My Fans).
