Meet The Pineapple lady: Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with The Pineapple lady and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi The, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my business because I wanted to separate myself from other food vendors and people who are selling traditional plates and soul food dinners. Often times our community is afraid to expand their pallet and taste different things so I like to bring a different type of food to our community
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
So , as far as the pineapplelady is concerned we have labeled it Caribbean cuisine it’s like a Caribbean take on hibachi where the meats are grilled and seasoned to perfection add rice and vegetables served in a grilled pineapple Bowl. The bowls come with several different proteins you can have shrimp, crab meat, steak, chicken, and or salmon served over a bed of rice with vegetables ranging from corn, spinach, onions, peppers, am I special secret sauce the tutti-frutti sauce. Vegan options available upon request .
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
It is so many amazing places to go here in Atlanta being that I did not grow up here l, I’m from Savannah so , I am still learning the city myself but I frequent breakfast at Barney’s which is black owned. I also am employed with Hookah by Cece at Harolds chicken and Ice bar on Edgewood.I like the trap museum as well there’s also civil rights museums here in Atlanta that I have had the pleasure of seeing.
