We had the good fortune of connecting with The OGs of Atlanta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi The OGs, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind our success has do with our ability to connect with others by balancing relatability, empowerment, and entertainment. Our authenticity and representation, highlights our real-life experiences, wisdom, and perspectives.

Our cultural relevancy allows us to tap into themes of legacy, ageless living, and intergenerational impact – which resonates deeply with our underrepresented audiences – who craves content that reflects our lives and aspirations.

Our dynamic relationships are full of genuine emotions, engagement, creating moments, entertaining, heartfelt, and inspirational. When one is down, there are 5 sisters to hold her up! We are our sister’s keeper!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The concept for The OGs was born from a desire to celebrate the power, wisdom, and vibrancy of older generations—those who have paved the way while continuing to break stereotypes and redefine what it means to age. Our mission is to flip the script on traditional narratives around aging, showing that life doesn’t slow down; it becomes richer, more dynamic, and more impactful – truly, more interesting and fascinating – all while evoking wisdom.

Inspiration Behind The OGs:

1. Representation Matters:

We saw a gap in media where older generations, particularly women, were either overlooked or misrepresented. The OGs was designed to highlight their stories, talents, and influence while showcasing how they continue to lead and inspire.

2. We want to empower Intergenerational Connections:

We demonstrate the value of lived experience and how it can positively shape the lives of others. It’s about bridging gaps and creating lasting change through mentorship and collaboration.

3. A Celebration of Ageless Living:

The OGs champions the idea that “age is just a number.” It’s about thriving, staying curious, and living boldly at any stage of life.

4. Personal Passion:

The team behind The OGs deeply believes in storytelling as a tool for change. We wanted to create something that not only entertains but uplifts, inspires, and starts conversations.

We hope, we, The OGs will and are inspiring viewers and followers to see themselves and their loved ones in a new light, sparking a movement of celebration and empowerment for generations to come.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
