We had the good fortune of connecting with The Just Allen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi The Just, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“It is the people no one imagines anything of, that do the things no one can imagine.” -Alan Turing (For Christopher)
Turing words reign prominently as a personal mantra for myself, as I understand the encompassing journey of the underdog. Given my experience, without effort or misrepresenting myself, I’ve been able to stand in rooms and journey through doors ever expected when few believed I could.
Consistency is the key ingredient to any journey, but persistence accompanies that same path, unequivocally.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As an upcoming music producer, I appreciate the opportunity to share more about my art and journey with you. What sets me apart from others is my unique approach to blending diverse musical influences, innovative production techniques, and a relentless passion for storytelling through sound.
I am most proud of my ability to connect with listeners on a deep emotional level through my music. Whether it’s crafting intricate melodies or designing intricate beats, I strive to create experiences that resonate with people long after they’ve finished listening.
My path to where I am today professionally has been anything but easy. I’ve faced numerous challenges, from self-doubt to navigating the complexities of the music industry. However, I’ve learned to view challenges as opportunities for growth and have consistently pushed myself to overcome them.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned along the way is the value of perseverance. When in lack of motivation, consistency will drive success. No matter how difficult things may seem, staying dedicated to my craft and remaining resilient in the face of adversity has been key to my success.
Ultimately, I want the world to know that my music is a reflection of my journey, my experiences, and my vision for the future. I hope to inspire others to pursue their passions relentlessly and to never lose sight of their dreams. My brand and story are deeply intertwined with my commitment to authenticity, creativity, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in music.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Realistically, my mom, LaDonna, is my best friend. She’s always made me feel that I could fly, so the itinerary would include touring some iconic music spots like the Georgia Music Hall of Fame so she got a sense of Atlanta’s rich musical history.
I’d take her to Kat’s Cafe for a vibrant atmosphere with live music as she’s a lover of R&B and live Jazz. My mom has collaborated with me in music production, so I’d take her to Criminal Records to discover some local artists and to grab some vinyls.
Given my sister took her on a trip to Vegas to see Usher on tour, depending on who’s in town, catching a show at the Tabernacle or Variety Playhouse would be epic. These venues always have top-notch acts.
Given she resides in the north, enjoying classic Southern comfort food is a must, so I would take her to Mary Mac’s Tea Room and The Busy Bee Cafe. Given we are both adventurous, fusion cuisine at The Optimist or Gunshow is a must.
And who doesn’t enjoy a great cocktail with a great skyline view, so the Virtue Rooftop in Midtown would be my choice pick.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
