We had the good fortune of connecting with The Franchise Jay Claxton Dr. CaSay and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi The Franchise Jay Claxton, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Our thought process behind starting Franchise Radio came from our media experience. Jay Claxton – Celebrity DJ , On Air talent for almost 20 years and Dr. CaSay – television and radio producer, publicist referred to in the industry as The Media Maven. We knew that the music culture was definitely missing something . Artist with good music have been getting passed by because of the politics in terrestrial radio.

It was our thoughts that the change has to come from us.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
It’s crazy because as CouplePreneurs we both have a very incredible extensive career. Both in the media ; Jay a successful Celebrity DJ and On Air Talent and Dr. CaSay a successful television and radio producer . Everything we have accomplished has been by hard work and great relationships.
We have learned so many lessons such as:
Understand the business of the industry, maintain great relationships, sacrifice equals reward and most importantly pay respect to all that have come before you.

The Franchise Group is our brand and we have several businesses underneath that umbrella: FRANCHISE RADIO, LOVE AND BUSINESS ON LOCK , Prosperity JC , FRANCHISE CLOTHING , JAY CLAXTON and FRANCHISE TRAVEL. We have built a brand that we will be able to pass on Generational Wealth to our children and hopefully teach the spirit of entrepreneurship.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We want to shout out our parents and our children. They are our motivating force . Shoutout to all who have supported anything that we have do.
