We had the good fortune of connecting with Tharren Printup and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tharren, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?Building a brand and company must begin with taking advice and learning from those who have done it before you. I always had a vision to start my own private executive chef company which is now a reality. Yet, the advice and education from previous executive chefs and my past  experiences have all aided in this process of creating Top Floor Cuisines.

In starting my own business, I wanted to learn as much as possible and add that to my own expertise and professionalism. I wanted to ultimately create an outstanding company and business which I’ve been able to achieve thus far!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Coming from humble beginnings, I aspire to be a world renowned chef that can continue providing high quality, worldwide cuisines for any occasion. I am a southern bred chef with over 10 years of experience and vast training in Modern American, French, Creole, Mediterranean, Greek, Moroccan, Italian and Southern cuisine. While I’m not cooking, I take pride in expanding my knowledge of world cuisines and food safety to continue providing next level experiences and top of the line hospitality to all my clients.

Challenges arise each day, but for example, something as big as COVID, has made my drive stronger to accomplish my goals. It showed me that anything can happen at the blink of an eye, so it’s important to remain prepared and organized at all times, during different conditions.

As I continue growing, I pride myself on being a professional who will continue to show up and provide a 5 star experience for every client, each time.


Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I wouldn’t be where I am without the advice and support of so many wonderful people.

My wife and business partner Brittany, continues to support what I do, while operating her own company and together we’ve become a power couple in aiding one another’s success.

Working directly with the manager of my business has allowed me to take the time to focus on cooking rather than always worrying about the administrative side of things. With this kind of support and streamlined business, we now have the capacity to tend to more clients and continue providing 5 star experiences.

Business relationships with team members and staff are also very important to me. I have far too many wonderful staff members to name! Our team does a wonderful job of continuously showing up with professionalism and the utmost of care for each client we have the pleasure of serving. Without them, I wouldn’t be able to do what I do best as an executive chef.
