Hi Teyonka, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
I firmly believe that giving up should never be on the table. When you commit yourself to something and decide it’s worth your time and energy, it’s essential to stay the course until the end. Even if the outcome doesn’t align with your initial expectations, it’s crucial to grant it the opportunity to unfold. There’s always a chance that it might surpass your wildest imaginations. At times, we may reach a juncture where surrender seems tempting, but that’s precisely when we should pivot and recommit ourselves with even greater determination.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Murch Financial Group was established with the primary goal of empowering the low-income community through financial literacy education. Our comprehensive range of services includes personal and business tax preparation, as well as assisting in the proper structuring and certification of businesses to enable them to collaborate with the government. We also provide training and guidance for aspiring entrepreneurs venturing into recession-proof businesses such as taxes, along with specialized tax resolution services.

What sets us apart from other tax companies is our unwavering commitment to non-profit services. We conduct free virtual classes on credit literacy and money management once a month, addressing the critical need for financial education within the low-income community. By equipping individuals with essential knowledge, we aim to foster efficient money management and facilitate the creation of generational wealth.

One aspect I take great pride in is the continuous growth of my business. Year after year, our client base and revenue double, showcasing our expanding reach and impact. My entrepreneurial journey has been nothing short of remarkable. Initially working as a traveling CNA, I realized there had to be a better way to achieve financial stability without sacrificing time with my children. It was during this time that I discovered Xpress Tax & Biz Solutions, offering tax preparation classes. What started as a side job quickly transformed into a divine calling.

In my first year of tax preparation, I discovered two crucial insights: a widespread lack of tax code literacy among individuals and the immense profitability of the tax preparation industry. Motivated by this realization, I returned to work, but this time armed with a plan. I utilized the income from my job to nurture and expand my company. Every year, I reinvested the profits back into the business and the community, whether by hiring additional staff, providing educational opportunities for my team, or offering free financial literacy classes to the local population.

Building my business was far from easy and required numerous sacrifices. However, my unwavering belief that effort determines outcome kept me going. Whenever challenges arose or circumstances didn’t align, I found solace in my faith, trusting that God would fulfill His promises of abundance. As a result, I approach my business endeavors with unyielding determination, knowing that my diligent work will be complemented by divine intervention.

Throughout my entrepreneurial journey, I’ve come to understand that success doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a gradual process, akin to raising a child. The rewards far outweigh the risks, but taking those risks is crucial. I am Teyonka Murchinson, a testament to the transformative power of determination and hard work.
