We had the good fortune of connecting with Tessa Ward and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tessa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My degree is in design. I’ve always loved color, luxury fabrics and home decor. Besides I’ve always wanted to work for myself
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I not only do upholstery and custom blend colors for clients, but I also stage homes and decorate for clients. My love for all things design is what keeps me inspired.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
awe would definitely have to take a trip to the art museum! They are always featuring different arts, whether it’s past or present ones. Then we would have to go to one of the local hot spots to sip or drink something new. If the weather is good, we’re definitely sitting outside. And we couldn’t miss an estate sale!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My clients, always believe in me that I can go further. I also have to thank my bestie, who brands and markets for her own business. She pushes me to go further. I would like to thank Bob and Marketa Dickerson that came and did a live on my booth!! They are with the A G Gaston Business Institute. Also my cheerleader, who does my branding and marketing @thekristionne. I also have to thank my vendors!!! B&B fabrics in Oneonta and Greenhouse Fabrics, and Downing in Anniston
