We had the good fortune of connecting with Terry Kalassa and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Terry, how do you think about risk?
For me Risk taking is a decision I have to make in order to succeed to make my vision come to fruition, it’s taking a calculated risk and betting on myself make it through. Risk taking has drastically improved my confidence in having more faith in my decision making and has help me to acquire knowledge throughout the process on building a business or brand.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What separates me from others is that I have courage to risks that seem like a dead end to others and end up persevering,

what I am most excited about is my fitness clothing brand am about to drop and it’s going to symbolize or embody the poise of a risk taker.

I am most proud of the decisions that I made in the past because they have built a foundation of hard convictions that make me a better person,I decided to attend seminars and business meetings and getting a mentor who I can look up to, instead go out partying starving all unnecessary distractions. Thus building me up to have professional conversations in today’s world. It wasn’t easy because I had to cut a lot of friends and stop doing a majority of the things young people would deem fun.

I overcame all this by telling myself that it’s either I develop myself now or prolong the journey to the breakthrough I want.

What I learnt throughout the journey is to know how people operate, how to speak and when to speak. And that nothing worth having comes easy, you have to be consistent to show and build what you want last for a long time.

I’d love the world to know that whatever risk you take make sure you consider the opportunity cost to that risk you take it should be one that doesn’t take from you but builds you to become a better person throughout the journey rather than deal with the consequences of a decision that will destroy you in the end because it looked appealing and easy.

Like Julius Caesar cross the Rubicon to take Rome, cast your die and when you cross that line be full of conviction that success is on the other side.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
After a long trip I would definitely take him or nice place to stay yet like this Summerfield and take them out to stay steakhouse, go to a game reserve go swimming and definitely go quad biking and watch a movie at the Cinema late at night have dinner and drinks afterwards

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Ashley Cain because he has had biggest influence in why am in the industry I am
