We had the good fortune of connecting with Terrell Kelly and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Terrell, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business or in better terms becoming a Fashion Designer was I just always liked to look different , and never like blending into a crowd I’ve always been into Fashion growing up, changing my sister shorts into skirts, even going to the Chinese hair store and buying bandannas and wrapping her up in them, I sat and watch how alot of things I did became popular so I know I had to be on to something.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My brand name is Erboe Diferenté, I produce high end, edgy , sexy looks that you definitely wouldnt blend in if you have it on ,what set me apart from others I would say simply me being different hence the name. I’m most proud about becoming fully self-employed, I’ve got to where I am professionally today by being patient, honestly im still a work in progress, but it is progressing and that’s the big picture. I wouldn’t call it a lesson I learn along the way but something I’ve been know that I would like to share with others , don’t rush anything when it’s your time it’s your time and the only person who can stop that is you, don’t rush things wait your turn, rushing things can rush you into failure

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m more of a home body let’s drink hookah and play games lol, but I’m all for a vibe. So I would say let’s hit up martini me hit up king street, but if you’re really my friend you wouldn’t expect much of me planning going out. If I’m invited I will be there though.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Firstly I would like to recognize my mother because without her they’ll be no me, she’s always on ready set go when it comes to my business.

Also I would like to recognize my first brand ambassador, or what I like to call her my industry wife JoSha Williams one call and she’s there to bring my vision to life not only the pretty photos, she’s so helpful behind the scenes, and help take so much stress off me, she is more than just a pretty face.

Another person who deserves recognition would be malachi Young, my boyfriend for keeping me on track and always finding ways to get me more exposure

Last but most definitely not least I would like to thank my sister/best friends Toddraya Kelly for always supporting me in everything I do.
