We had the good fortune of connecting with Terra Bundance and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Terra, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I am a natural teacher, and I have worked and played in the fields of singing/performing, health and wellness, and New Thought/Ancient Wisdom since I was 7 years old. I have always cared about people, and became a practicing entrepreneur at a very young age. I have always found inventive and unusual ways to make a little bit of money by creating products and services that I thought might help people.
I also love collaboration, so creating my own personal business (TerrAbundance), and then starting Abundant Earth Cooperative has been in my thoughts since I was in my early 20’s.
After over 30 years of teaching voice lessons, working in the health/wellness/fitness world, and supporting people as a Channel and an Empath/Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), I knew it was finally time to focus on the collaborative aspect of my lifelong dreams. Thus, Abundant Earth Cooperative was born!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As an entrepreneur, I am a singer, speaker, author, Empowerment Coach, and the founder of Abundant Earth Cooperative (AEC). AEC is the company I created to support entrepreneurs and creators in a collaborative way. We provide a space online, and are working toward having multiple, physical locations throughout the world for people to share their services and products. Our sister company is Superconscious Success in Australia.
We are always looking for individuals and businesses who fit our vibe, and would love for anyone to contact me if they are interested in what we are co-creating! (We are also looking for environmental and earth friendly Nonprofits to support!)
As for me personally, I am an empath and highly sensitive person (HSP), a Manifesting Generator in Human Design, an 8 on the Enneagram, an environmentalist at heart, and a Taurus. I care about justice and equality, and doing whatever I can to take care of our planet. I am very grounded, yet I am always connecting to the realm of Source/God/Goddess for guidance and support. I am confident and courageous, yet, I am also constantly working on my codependent tendencies. I tend to suspend judgement of other people unless they prove to me they can not be trusted.
I stand in many worlds while being able to ground myself in the present, and I have a very strong personality while being very caring and encouraging of everyone and everything around me.
During my first 30+ years, I tried to live in all of those worlds at once while deeply desiring acceptance and approval for being me. What I have learned through the years is that being someone who stands out does not lend itself to being accepted by everyone. The challenge for me in the last 10-15 years has been to stop trying so hard to be accepted, and to just simply be me and do my thing.
I know I am here to do big things, and I have decided to step out of the comfort zone of acceptance and into the unknown realms of endless possibilities to make my lifelong dreams a reality.
My number one goal is to connect with as many people as I can throughout my life. I want to encourage everyone to shine their brightest light in the world, and to co-create a world that works for everyone.
I love to do that through my books, oracle cards and other products, through speaking and singing, through individual and group coaching and teaching, and through Abundant Earth Cooperative.
Everything I do is for the greatest good of all. I simply want to be remembered as “A woman who did everything she could to shine her light, and support others in shining theirs”.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I tend to want to connect with people in their world, so if someone were visiting me and we had a week to hang out, I would mostly want to connect with them and hear what is going on with them. I wouldn’t feel the need or desire to take them to multiple place. Instead, I would most likely ask them what they want to do, pick one or two of those things, and then spend the rest of the time doing oracle/tarot card readings, personalized sessions, and playing/hiking around in the woods. If I had to pick one or two places to go with them, it would most likely be one of the vegan restaurants in or near Atlanta and Gibbs Gardens or Chattahoochee Nature Center.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am so deeply grateful for the love, support, encouragement, and guidance of certain friends and family members. My parents- Bill and Sharry Farmer, for their constant and consistent love, support, and belief in me. My husband- Michael Doss, for his love, honesty, connection, vision, drive, and trust. My son- Bodhi Doss-Bundance, who was a beautiful surprise, and is always encouraging me to be the best version of myself. My brother- Tyson Farmer who has always been a beautiful reflection and sounding board throughout our whole lives. And my best girlfriend, (“my person”) for over 30 years- Amy Mays, for her ability to see me even when I don’t see myself, and her solid and consistent support, encouragement, and love. A few other people that deserve recognition for their support and guidance over the years- Charlotte Scott, Stephanie Besson, Jen Moore, Jennifer Matthews, Ashley Cantley, Cat Queen, Tristan Tuttle, Kristen Yam, and Kat Burkhardt. Thank you all for being such a huge part of my life!
