Meet Teresa Bullock: Business Owner

Initially it was something I would do as a hobby but later decided to move forward with my product to help people minimize any irritation during the tattoo healing process. My brother was a huge influence because he would always mention how bad his skin would itch after receiving a new tattoo. I researched and tested out several ingredients before coming up with the perfect formula. Unlike most tattoo balms, Rejuve Ink is comprised of the highest quality plant-based ingredients which contains restorative and healing properties. These ingredients are specially formulated to aid in keeping your tattoos healthily nourished during and after the healing process.

Rejuve Ink isn’t like any other tattoo balm because it can be used during the healing process of new tattoos and rejuvenation of older ink. Unlike most tattoo balms, Rejuve Ink does not contain petroleum jelly which can irritate the skin and clog pores. It applies smoothly with no build up or sticky feeling allowing the skin to breathe and the tattoo to heal properly.

I started creating the formula for Rejuve Ink years ago before I wanted to make it a brand. It was something I created for my family and myself because I realized early on during my tattoo journey that other healing agents contained petroleum jelly which can clog pores. I’m most proud of the positive reviews from customers after using Rejuve Ink. It feels great to be able to help tattoo lovers have minimal irritation during their tattoo journey.

Starting this business definitely wasn’t easy and requires a lot of risk taking. Initially starting off I was faced with a lot of uncertainty because my business opened on August 1, 2020 during the pandemic so I knew that it would be extremely challenging given the circumstances. Not being afraid of failing is what helped me overcome the challenges.

There have been several lessons I’ve learned during this process. First, I will always choose passion over money making. Finding the time to ensure my business is running properly without getting burnt out. In addition to Rejuve Ink, I’m a full time government employee so I definitely have to continue to make sure my mental and physical health is on track to have a successful business.

I want people to know that I put my heart into this product with the help of my family. My brother created the logo after I came up with the name Rejuve Ink. Additionally, this formula is plant-based fragrance free (Coconut oil + Shea Butter + Cocoa Butter + Jojoba Oil + Sea Buckthorn Oil + Candelilla Wax) are safe to use in the healing process of new tattoos as well as rejuvenation of older ink.

If you are coming to visit me in Atlanta I would tell you to come Thursday-Monday to get the full experience. To start the trip off I would take you to Rocksteady in west midtown on a Thursday night for dinner & great cocktails downstairs in the dining area and afterwards we would head upstairs to the lounge area to listen to the live DJ. Rocksteady is always a vibe no matter the day.

Friday night I would take you to Apt4b in Buckhead to enjoy the dope ambiance and listen to one of my favorite DJ’s Boogie Lov. On Saturday if you’re still alive after a night of partying we would head over to Breakfast at Barneys for brunch and later that night go to The James Room (Speakeasy) along the belt line.

The finale would end in Decatur at Ms. Icey’s Kitchen & Bar brunch on Sunday.

My family and friends have supported me tremendously along the way. I can’t thank them enough for how they have shown up during this process. I’m extremely thankful for the love they all have poured into me during this journey. All of the encouraging words and moments will forever be the motivation to keep me going.
