Hi Tejkni, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind our success at Inkjet Closet is our willingness to step outside of the box and trust our creative abilities. We believe that the key to building a memorable and innovative brand lies in taking calculated risks with design concepts, pushing boundaries, and staying true to our unique vision. By allowing ourselves the freedom to explore fresh ideas—and having confidence in the talent of our team—we’re able to develop cutting-edge graphic designs, curate compelling brand experiences, and create clothing that resonates with our clients on a deeper level. This openness to experimentation and unwavering belief in our creative instincts have been the driving forces that continue to propel our brand forward.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What truly sets Inkjet Closet apart is our unwavering dedication to creativity and our deep-rooted belief that great design can come from anywhere—especially if you’re willing to put in the work. I’m a proud self-taught clothing and graphic designer from Milwaukee, WI, who initially dreamed of going into real estate brokering. But one day, I stumbled upon my knack for creating, and that discovery was nothing short of life-changing.

Teaching myself Photoshop and learning how to use a sewing machine might have been daunting at first, but those skills opened the door for me to transform my entrepreneurial pursuits into a print shop and clothing store, and eventually into designs that have been showcased on national television. It hasn’t always been an easy journey. Starting out, I made more than my fair share of mistakes—like misprints, ill-fitting garments, and sleepless nights spent perfecting techniques. But each challenge taught me a new lesson in resilience, resourcefulness, and the power of just rolling up my sleeves and doing the work.

I’ve learned that trusting your instincts, staying open to new methods and inspiration, and having faith in your own abilities can take you further than you ever imagined. I want the world to know that everything I do is fueled by passion and the drive to share my art—because when I look back at how far I’ve come, I see that it’s my willingness to embrace my gifts, along with unrelenting hard work, that helped me transform from a dreamer in Milwaukee into the creative force behind Inkjet Closet. And I’m nowhere near finished. I hope our story sparks a little inspiration in others looking to uncover and nurture their own hidden talents.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite places to explore always include good food. I am an avid seafood lover and I have a very diverse pallet which is great for a place like Atlanta. The options for quality food experiences are endless!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate this shoutout in memory of my father, Charles Dickens. He was not only a successful business owner but also the author of the book In the Midst of the Storm. My father believed in me long before I believed in myself, always encouraging me to aim higher and pursue my dreams no matter how ambitious they seemed. His work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, and unwavering support instilled in me the drive to overcome obstacles and seize every opportunity. It is because of his love, guidance, and faith in my potential that I stand where I am today, and I’ll forever be grateful for the lessons and inspiration he shared.
