We had the good fortune of connecting with Teezy Presidential and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Teezy, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risks are defined within my blood, within music I shout out the acronym RTE which the R stands for Risks. The most recent risk I took was dedicated towards my passion for music. I figured out early on, mainly money is what I need to succeed in my career. So within that I learned to invest and seek other avenues to get on the path of my career which ultimately is Music

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m most proud about being on an independent journey most people in this field immediately look to sign a record deal, but I have been laying my own path and will essentially “sign myself.” I’ve been into music ever since about the the age 8-9, I’m originally from Fairfield, AL but growing up with a single mom my character was built from all walks of life. I recorded a few tracks even at at a young age, through out school I lost the drive due to playing sports but after realizing where my love truly was I got back into the studio my senior year of high school. From there I had a chance to record and work with artists such as Project Pat and Maino, this was done through meeting a guy name “Big Trill.” He was the first person that was industry connected that gave me a listening ear when it came to my music. The most challenging part during those times funds were extremely low and I had to make payments to Big Trill to even get those tracks. I over came it by keeping my word being persistent in paying and building funds through out the process. I have come across much more conversations and contacts since then. Some worked out for a better step some were lessons learned on how the game can be and there’s no true friends at that level. I have dropped a hand full of tracks as well in between time and working on videos for those tracks. I am looking to essentially speak my message, im not recording to condone a lifestyle that I wouldn’t live or lead people down a path that I wouldn’t go. But to express my self through my life experiences, maybe someone hearing that they’ve possibly been through the same thing and me giving game to move forward can help the outcome in future references. Music is the way I paint my canvas and I don’t want to be known as a “rapper” but known as an “Artist”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a chill out the way type of guy so for me it’s more so the best food spots.
I’d go to

Tasty Jamaica
Eagles

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Three books I want to shout out is “The 12 week year” , “The 48 Laws of power”, and “Rich dad, poor dad.”
These changed my trajectory and outlook on life. Each one played a different part when it comes to mental, physically and spiritually.
