Meet TeeMariee | Model-preneur & Licensed Cosmetologist

We had the good fortune of connecting with TeeMariee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi TeeMariee, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
I’m a youtuber, licensed cosmetologist, and I’m inspiring to become a super model. Currently in my career I’m still considered a beginner/newbie in all aspects. My end goal is to become a full time youtuber while traveling internationally for fashion shows or gigs. I also see myself doing hair/makeup backstage to get myself out there in every way possible. By the end of my career I want everyone to know my name, know the hard work and effort I had to put in to get where I’m going to be. I want everyone to know my story, not to be boastful but to motivate people when they feel like giving up.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I wouldn’t say I’m in the best position but I am proud of how far I’ve came. It took me a while to get my license but when I finally got it I immediately put myself out there and was pushing for clientele. I eventually got a job at a salon and a barbershop. It was a dream come true but then I realized being in someone else’s shop wasn’t for me and I rather just branch off on my own and build my own clientele, I mean I did it before so why not? The biggest obstacle when it came to hair is realizing I needed a break from it all to build my brand and find a location. YouTube, I started my channel in 2020 during Covid. I struggled with consistency, ran out of ideas for videos, depended on people I knew I couldn’t depend on. That and then sum, it discouraged me so I stopped posting. one day I went back and watched my old videos and something in me said “try again” so I did. My videos aren’t viral yet but I’m not stopping till my whole channel go viral. I learned when it comes to YouTube, you just have to stay consistent and it’ll come. I feel like my channel stands out because of its theme and my personality. It’s authentic and nobody can do me like I can. I’ve been learning to believe in myself, if I don’t then how can I expect others to. I would love for the world to know TEEMARIEE is coming for it all and I will stop at nothing to get it. I struggled and overcame ALOT of emotional trauma, it held me back but I’m back and better than ever.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
It’s the summertime, the best time to come is in the summertime.
Day 1, we going to the dispensary and then there’s my favorite get away spot called the waterfront we could eat like chick fila or something after.
Day 2, there’s a joint called killer burger. It’s like in and out but in and out is better. Lol but that’s all we have so we have to settle.
Day 3, we go hiking then grab food from this Mexican food truck not too far from my house. THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD I’VE EVER TASTED!
We would keep doing this the whole trip there is also a fair I’d probably take her there as well. We could go ride bikes, take pictures, go site seeing in Portland.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
