We had the good fortune of connecting with Tee BlendzzX and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tee, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was to change the way I think. Throughout my teenage years I experienced working jobs in pretty much every field; from food services to bagging groceries , even working at a warehouse. I hated waking up every morning to go do the same thing everyday so I sat down and came up with a plan. The process took blood , sweat, and tears but with Faith everything is possible, graduated from barber school and took it next level. I have always had a independent mindset which drives me to stand behind a chair and cut as much hair as I want; that led me to offering a 24hr service. My thought process has always been based off the bigger picture and my potential future endeavors. I enjoy having my own business, it’s adventurous ,easy to meet new people, tips are great, vacations are even better. The world will know BlendzzX .

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Master Barber by the name of Tee BlendzzX , my personality is what what sets me apart from others . There are plenty of other dope barbers in the industry , but you only get one me. I have a fun outgoing personality so getting serviced by is an experience within itself. Starting this journey to becoming my own business was not easy. I started out losing my job as a warehouse worker and had my back against the wall. I have always been good with my hands but didn’t know how to stay consistent with a 9-5 . I started out just cutting neighborhood residents, then started getting better and branching out to cutting randoms just for the practice. Honed my craft enough to want to go to a Barber school and get my license so that I could own/build my own barber legacy . I want to build a Barbering School for mental health teens to teach them more than just the flick of the wrist, I want to work with them on the mental aspect this profession encounters. I’ve been to many shops, cut many heads, times are rough , times are also great just always remember to KEEP GOING and DONT GIVE UP.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit me for a week , they would probably watch my chair spin in circles the entire visit lol jk. A few eating favorites of mine are Crab boil, Juicy Krab, Boiler Room, and Cirque . The food is always a first for me , No Mas Cantina is the one and only place for drinks , if you like tequila go see Kia. Best Bartenders with the strongest drinks. After a long day of eating a drinking , I like to go to a lounge and dance it out , Anything grown and sexy is a go for me .

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout my Mother Judy , she has been my inspiration throughout my journey. She has been my spiritual mentor as well as my mental mentor. Many long nights of crying and praying pushed me to thrive and continue . To my mother , thanking you will never be enough, but I promise to continue to thrive and succeed . Thank you to my personal Her-O
