We had the good fortune of connecting with Tee Archie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tee, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Honestly, it started with a feeling. I realized I was constantly curating experiences, planning epic trips, and helping others find joy in the little things—whether it was a hidden gem restaurant, a photo-worthy beach, or just a moment of peace on a busy day. That’s when it clicked: I wasn’t just sharing travel recs, I was building a lifestyle brand rooted in joy, ease, and intention.

Wander & Wit was born from that space. I wanted to create content that not only looked good but felt good—content that centered people like me, especially Black women, in experiences that are often overlooked or gatekept. My thought process was simple: What if I stopped waiting for permission and just started building the brand I needed to see? So I did. And here we are—traveling, storytelling, and building something beautiful from the ground up.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My journey has been anything but linear. I’ve spent years building a successful career in the federal sector, managing systems and streamlining processes behind the scenes. But deep down, I always knew I was called to create something of my own — something meaningful, beautiful, and rooted in joy.

That’s where Wander & Wit was born. I wanted to build a brand that reflects my love for curated travel, storytelling, and celebrating experiences that center ease, culture, and connection. What sets me apart is that I don’t just share where to go — I share how it feels. I highlight hidden gems and experiences that make you pause and say, “I could see myself here.” Whether it’s a Black-owned spa in Miami or a beachside resort in Cancún, my content is rooted in making travel feel like home and look like art.

Was it easy? Definitely not. I’ve had to fight through imposter syndrome, learn to trust my creative instincts, and find balance while still working a demanding 9–5. But I’ve learned that starting scared is better than not starting at all. I’ve also learned to lean into community — whether it’s the businesses that have reposted my work, or the people who message me saying, “Thank you — I needed this.”

What I want the world to know is that Wander & Wit isn’t just a brand. It’s a movement for people — especially Black travelers — to feel seen, inspired, and reminded that they deserve beautiful experiences too. I’m proud of what I’m building, and even prouder that I didn’t wait for perfection to begin.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, this is what I love to do, because if my best friend came to visit, we’re doing Atlanta right — no tourist traps, just vibes.
Here’s how the week would go down:

Day 1: Welcome to ATL 🥂
We’re kicking things off with the ultimate party brunch at Garden Parc ATL — bottomless mimosas, unlimited food, a live DJ, and a whole vibe. This isn’t your average brunch — it’s a celebration. And if there’s still energy (and there will be), we’re sliding over to Rock Steady for dinner and cocktails with Afro-Caribbean flair.

Day 2: Hidden Gems & Plantinis 🌱🍸
Quick bite at iGetJuiced — smoothies, nourish bowls, kale wraps, and the best açai bowls in the city. Then we’re off to Seed ATL, where we’re manifesting a day that includes their iconic “Plantini” event: free plants + espresso martinis? Say less. We’ll wrap with dinner at The Select ATL — classy, ambient, and chef’s kiss every time.

Day 3: Treat Yourself Tuesday 💅🏽
We’re leveling all the way up with a spa day at the Four Seasons — arguably one of the best spa experiences in the city. Think soft robes, soothing music, and pure bliss. After we’re fully relaxed and radiant, we’re heading to O-Ku Atlanta for sushi, skyline views, and curated cocktails.

Day 4: Nature, Nourishment, & Nostalgia 🌳🎮
Start with a scenic escape at Cascade Springs Nature Preserve, then grab a cozy midday break at Black Coffee ATL (Black-owned and full of charm). For dinner, we’re heading to Chattahoochee Food Works — because food halls are a love language. And to end the night? Your 3rd Spot — games, drinks, and grown-up arcade fun.

Day 5: Art, 90s Vibes, & Tulum Energy 🎨🌮
Tonight we’re stepping into nostalgia with a Dine & Design paint-and-sip event — think 90s R&B, bright colors, and a millennial twist. Afterwards, we’ll grab tacos and cocktails at CT Taqueria — a hidden gem in Gwinnett that gives Tulum vibes without leaving the city.

Day 6: BBQ & Bougie 🍷🔥
We’ll start with THRILL Korean BBQ, where the energy is as bold as the flavors. Then we’re heading up to Château Élan for a little golden hour magic — wine tasting, sunset views, and content-worthy moments all around.

Day 7: Brunch, Coffee, & Reflective Vibes ☁️
Final day calls for a slow start at Dirty Rascal — Italian-American brunch with big flavor and luxe décor. We’ll grab a coffee at Black Coffee Atlanta, then do some light window shopping at Ponce City Market. The night ends back at home with wine, cozy fits, and a little recap of all the moments we made.

I feel Atlanta and the surrounding area is truly a city with layers — and this itinerary shows off the culture, creativity, and joy that makes it feel like home. Whether it’s sipping espresso martinis with a free plant or winding down in a spa suite, I’d make sure my bestie leaves feeling inspired, full, and already planning their return.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to give a huge shoutout to my tribe — the friends, family, and supporters who saw something in me even when I was still figuring it out myself. Their encouragement gave me the confidence to start, and their belief in me has kept me going.

I also want to recognize the local businesses in my community who’ve shown love by reposting my content, engaging with my work, and reminding me that what I’m building matters. That kind of organic support has been such a beautiful motivator, and I don’t take it for granted.

This journey isn’t just mine — it’s a reflection of the people and places that have poured into me along the way.
