We had the good fortune of connecting with Ted L. Alexis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ted L., can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Ultimately I just wanted to create something to keep my creative mind occupied. I’ve always been into art, production & entertainment. The passion is the driving force the business came second.

What should our readers know about your business?
UZA Network is a brand dedicated to creation and development, supporting all aspects of entertainment culture. What sets us apart is our holistic approach to brand creation, development, quality control, and providing a voice of reason for our clients. With over 20 years of experience, I’ve accumulated a wealth of knowledge through trial and error, as well as mentorship from those who paved the way before me.

My journey has not been easy. One significant challenge has been investing time, energy, and resources into people who didn’t share my passion for their own talents or projects. However, by putting God first in everything I do, I have found the strength and focus to overcome these obstacles.

I’m most proud of UZA Network’s role in creating an ecosystem that uplifts, empowers, educates, and supports the community at large. Unity is key, and together as one movement, we can fulfill God’s plan. My passion as a creative is to help others in areas they lack, ensuring that our collective efforts lead to success.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend visited Atlanta for a week, I’d show them the best spots I’ve discovered in my year here.

On the first day, I’d pick them up, grab breakfast at a local café, relax at my place, and have dinner at VVS.

The second day would be Midtown and Downtown: Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, lunch at Ponce City Market, and dinner at Ice Bar.

The third day would focus on culture: the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park, the High Museum of Art, and dinner with live jazz.

Day four would be about nature: hiking at Stone Mountain Park, a picnic and paddle boating in Piedmont Park, and dinner at Jamericans Sports Bar.

The fifth day would be for shopping and local eats: Lenox Square Mall, a food truck park, and a night out in Buckhead.

On day six, we’d visit the Atlanta History Center, the Atlanta Botanical Garden, and enjoy dinner and drinks at another favorite spot.

The final day would be relaxed: brunch at a charming café, some last-minute sightseeing or shopping, and a final meal at a new favorite place.

We’d meet interesting locals and explore Atlanta’s vibrant culture, making it an unforgettable trip.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely! Growing up, hip hop moguls have been my number one inspiration. Legends like Jay Z, Dame Dash, Master P, Baby & Slim from Cash Money, and Rick Ross have all played pivotal roles in shaping my journey. Their drive, resilience, and business acumen have continually motivated me to strive for success. These icons deserve immense credit and recognition in my story.
