Meet TE- RAYE | Musical Artist & Songwriter

I’m from Atlanta, Ga and grew up in a musically inclined household. At age 7, I wrote my first song and have been writing and singing ever since. I remember waking up early to hearing the radio playing and hearing my mom singing to the top of her lungs, which in return peaked my interest to sing and write.

As a musical artist, I owe all my thanks and success as an artist to the Most High because I refuse to make any decision without consulting my heavenly AlaHaYaH. Honestly, I’m very happy and content with where I am today as an artist and respect the process. I tend to focus on my personal goals and check off each accomplishment as they come to fruition. By no means is this journey easy. There’s different obstacles along the way and everyone measures success differently. Some of us get lost in transition but those who are true to themselves are the real winners in this musical journey. Also, I’ve never been the one to look at another person’s success or compare my success to another person’s because in the end I know that I’ll eventually have the same opportunity and know where my help comes from. That said, I hope people genuinely see who I am as an artist and enjoy vibing to my music. This year, I’m working on new music and look forward to releasing my project. My go to places involve food! I love food! So I would tend to go to places that have a nice ambiance and vibe. I also love live music, so that’s always a plus.
