Hi Taz, what role has risk played in your life or career?
No risk, No Reward! I believe taking risks is where your faith is tested! I pray for discernment so that I can take more calculated risks. The more I’m connected to Allah, the stronger my faith is to take risks. Taking risks made me become more fearless; and I’ve been blessed with some amazing opportunities!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My name is Taz Tikoon. I’m from VA…..where they say it’s something in the water. I’m most proud of launching my water company Tidewater; to pay homage to my hood Tidemill, Hampton Va. I’m extremely excited to share my new music and projects! I got to where I am today because I’m extremely focused & I don’t make excuses; I make results! I. also made countless sacrifices to invest in myself and my art. No it wasn’t easy & I’m not really a fan of anything easy. I overcame my challenges by focusing on one thing at a time and challenging myself to develop new skills. One of the lessons I learned is the power of emotional intelligence and atomic habits. I want the world to know Taz Tikoon’s music and brand.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’re going to Just Add Honey and Tea for a Lavender Matcha. We’re going to eat at Slutty Vegan, & Tassilis. Then we’re going to hit the stu with Farro Jarro. Probably hit up DJ Exel & Boss Britt for one of their events and hit the Progress Report Podcast. We gone find a lil a brunch day party. Maybe hit The Gathering Spot, GA Aquarium, or Trap Museum. Then we would go shopping and maybe hit Magic City. & We vlogging all week.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my Nana Margaret; may she rest in heavenly peace! All praise to Allah. I’d like to also give credit to my amazing mother, Tiljuana, my sister / best friend Tahjai, and my grandaddy Dwight. Also special thanks to Eric, India, and my bro Aye Dell! I don’t know where I’d be musically and personally without Dell. Lastly, I want to thank me; Taz Tikoon.
