We had the good fortune of connecting with Tayvon Harper and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tayvon, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
The main purpose of my business is to inspire and spark ideas into the minds of listeners all over the world. I work with many different artist, producers, and writers to create great music. There’s billions of people on this planet streaming music from different genres everyday. My goal was to incorporate pieces from each one to develop my own production style.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My sound stems from many genres incorporated into one song. For example, if your listening to a song YS produced you might hear a R&B-Rock-Pop Melody mixed with some down south 808s. You might even hear a EDM/Dubstep song that I’ve produced. My main focus was to build my audience and come up with records that are out of the ordinary, completely different from what’s going on currently.

And no, working in the music industry isnt easy at all. Very time consuming and there’s lots of rejection. I learned to deal with this by staying focused and working with creatives who are like-minded and more talented than I am.
Through-out my career, I always took the time to learn more about my craft, study the fans, and learn about whats next and whats to come in music.

Always staying ahead of the curve- that was my biggest strategy.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I think there’s no place in this world like New York, from the food, the views, and even the entertainment.

I’d most likely take her out to get some good chinese food from a few nice spots i know of. Set us up a nice helicopter tour of the city.

Go to the empire state building, go catch the view of the skyline.

There’s plenty bars and clubs all over New York we’ll end up at most likely.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes, I want to give thanks to God, my team, & My family for being supportive of my career. Big Shoutout to DJ Holiday & Since8019records out in Atlanta. If you ever took the time to work with me or listen to my music, big shoutout to you as well.
