We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylur Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylur, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business had to do with taking a leap of faith at the point in time in my life. Im a mother before a Chef and I knew it was time to put fourth all the dope esthetics and talents I have to offer in the culinary world and birth my own! Out of thin air and prayer came Locale Caribbean Cafe! Located in the heart of Midtown, Atlanta I took that leap of faith opening during one of our most trying times collectively the Pandemic!! Relocating from Los Angeles 2020 I realized the culinary scene in Atlanta need consistency, spice and the enjoyment of the neighborhood feel, which is why I choose the location at Politan Row located in Colony Square! 6 months new were striving to make our mark!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Locale Caribbean Cafe is the only food stall, located in Politan Row that offers Caribbean food 7 days a week! The consistency of the brand is always accurate. Working in several industries, entertainment, production and hospitality I naturally combined all of those learnings in becoming the business woman I am today! I enjoy cooking, but enjoy the logistics side of the business. I’ve definitely learned that every day is going to be a new experience and challenge if you may. If it were easy there’d be no fun in it and everyone would be doing it!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shoutout my son Mekhi Boothe for being the reasoning of Locale’s success not only is he the daily motivation and my reason why I put fourth so much effort and energy! He’s actually one of my best employee’s believe it or not! He’s a certified 11 year old trained CEO!
