We had the good fortune of connecting with Taurean Archie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taurean, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
You never know but the people that are successful today didn’t get there by giving up. If you think you can’t then you’re right and if you think you can then you’re also right. Choose what you want to be right about. I’m in the hardest process of manifesting my dreams and giving up is not an option. Sometimes I feel crazy by pursuing my dreams and doing the things I’ve done to get to this point but I also feel even crazier doing things I hate. I’ve been through every emotion and I still have barely scratched the surface with anything. I feel like I’m getting nowhere but I’m also happy that I’m believing in myself. Following your dreams is climbing Mount Everest, some people lose their lives trying to climb that mountain but the ones that make it to the top… Well you can never take that away from them and they only find more mountain tops to climb. This is not easy but giving up is. Elon Musk said if you need motivation speeches to be inspired in what you do then you don’t need to do it. You don’t know whether to give up or keep going because life could be so stressful and the next day you can have everything. All I can tell you is to always keep going and be kind to yourself.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m just proud that I believe in myself. It wasn’t easy because I had a lot of negative and self sabotaging thoughts. I got to be an actor by just throwing myself out there. It’s been a long journey but every point has been worth it. In this game you must be patient and feed yourself positive thoughts. In this business 90% of things are not going to go your way at first. A lot more no’s than yes but you just have to know that you have a higher calling. Rejection is just redirection and let go of what you can not control. I just want the world to manifest where they want to be because I’m living proof that anything can happen.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my friend and place is in the middle of midtown. Parking your car and just discovering new food places and different areas in Atlanta is my thing. I also would be all over Peachtree/Edgewood area. I’m new to Atlanta myself so we would honestly be discovering Atlanta together. I’m still getting my feet here and trying to meet new people so we honestly both be tourists.
