Meet Tatiana Smith | Plus Size Model, Influencer, and Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tatiana Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tatiana, why did you pursue a creative career?
I decided to pursue an artistic career as a Plus Size Model because its something that I’m very passionate about. I always thought that Plus Size people do not get the attention that they deserve. I always had faith that I would be working with big brands to get my face around the world. Most of the time I get to be in control of my own creative process when it is time to shoot pictures or videos. I get to pick out my own clothes, accessories & hair styles when I shoot. Although I am fairly new to modeling (2 years in) I want this to be my forever career, I have worked with a couple of big brands like Fashion Nova, Shein, Halara and Curvy Sense. I also won an ACHI Award for Model of the Year and Hairstylist of 2023. Being in front of a camera has always been my dream. Having an artistic & creative career is fun. You are always thinking of something new to do. You will always meet bigger influencers that enjoy to spread the live with you and give you a little more knowledge.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being a Plus Size model & influencer has been challenging but fun. By challenging I mean I had to really push myself to step outside of my shell & comfort zone so I could pursue being a plus size model. I stay true to myself & don’t try to be like anyone else or do what anyone else does. I take pictures & create content videos that I love & that’s what sets me apart from others. I’m most excited about 2024 will bring me. I want to elevate more this year, work with new bigger brands & get more brands deals. Modeling hasn’t been easy it has its ups and down especially when trying to balance work, bills & having the time & money to book shoots. I want the world to know me (Tatiana) as a beautiful black & hard working plus size model & influencer who wants to make an impact on the world & I know that I will do that. Stay Tuned!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in ,the Sandy Springs area which is a metro city outside of Atlanta. There are great spots in Sandy Springs & also in Atlanta. I will name some places below.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First I would love to give an honor to God for all the blessings that he has given me. I remember not knowing which way to turn but God never left my side. I would love to give a remembrance dedication shoutout to my stepfather, James Facison, for all the support and encouraging words that he gave me before passing away in 2022. He was one of the best fathers ever to help me get through so much but now that he has gone, things have been very hard but I will never give up. My mother, Paula Harper, was one of the most powerful woman to raise four children on her own with no help. The one thing that I can remember her always telling me was that I can be anything in life. I just have to have faith in God. Starting this whole modeling journey, I had help from a very special friend named Marquise Knight. He has been my best friend for over 16 years now and he is like a blessing sent from heaven. From the kind words, encouraging phrases, being a dedicated friend to me and helping sponsor my campaigns, Marquise has never left my side. I also would love to thank all my close family members that have congratulated me on all my accomplishments. I would love to thank all my supporters for supporting me. All those small things counts as big achievement and blessings to me.
